Going to redo some things on my cooling system and the radiator is one. Is there a 2 row radiator available? i have searched and cannot find anything. I know the s/c is an improvement but still just a single row.. Thanks

After talking to you the other day on the trail I was looking for something similar in size to the factory radiator. Might look into the R34 rad from mishimoto. The size seems REALLY close and the ports are in the right locations, but Im not entirely sure if they're the right size or if it will even fit properly

Hmm you may be onto something here, I have a fan shroud I just measured and it would be damn close

R34 radiator ordered.. Dimensions check out to be pretty close.. The R34 is about 1" taller and 1/2" skinnier.. I will keep everyone posted.. I've always wanted a R34.. I guess a radiator will have to do lol

If your willing to spend the money Griffin Radiators will build you whatever you want. They made my S14 Chassis Radiator to work with my VH45DE engine so it dropped right in, used OEM hoses and the fan setup I wanted.

That's really impressive.

I'm interested to see how this will turn out!

Well i got the radiator, and with some modification it could work, but it doesn't have the trans cooler built in.. Which o was aware of.

If someone were to want to fab new mounts it would fit.. I drained my radiator and look and it turns out I had a 2 row TYC

So I cleaned it well, added new coolant and went back to a mechanical fan.. It now runs at 188 on a 85 degree day.. It would run at 195 with the Efan.. So the Efan isn't worth it at all.. I didn't even notice a power difference when going back

That's the same radiator I have. With my dual efan and the 2 row radiator I run at like 180 during a hot day.

I just bought this radiator yesterday from Car Id. They are an authorized Koyo Dealer also so you are getting a good product. I also thought about going for a custom radiator and getting something with 3 rows but I couldnt find any that would not require modifying the radiator supports. I will be running the Derale dual E-Fan also. Hopefully it will run cooler on the trails. Here is a link http://www.carid.com/2002-nissan-xterra-engine-cooling-parts/koyorad-radiator-11053898.html

My whole thought of going to an R34 radiator is that it would be all aluminum both core and end tanks so you would be very unlikely to have any cracking issues. Xterror said he did get one but it was smaller than his factory supercharged radiator in overall size and decided to keep the factory instead. I myself am still looking at doing the R34 3row with clutch fan with a larger external trans cooler. I think it would bemefit me more in the long run

So I installed the SC radiator over the long weekend along with a 170 degree thermostat. So far the only time I had to run the electric fans was playing around on some trails. Regular driving the temperature needle doesn't creep up at all like it used to when sitting in traffic. Both fans are wired to manual switched. I also bypassed the transmission lines from the radiator to an external cooler to hopefully keep the coolant temps down.

I may be in Canada, but my SC while towing doesn't even overheat. Being a 5-speed it had the NA rad, and swapped to the SC rad last year after I got the trailer. It didn't overheat before, but it was also the winter too. It was a preventative maintenance thing I did while I rebuilt the lower rad support.

I think the only reason to go to the R34 radiator is for the full aluminum factor. Wouldn't have to worry about the plastic tanks becoming brittle and cracking on the trail. that being said, I do spose it wouldn't matter if you lower the radiator down after doing your body lift.

For those that are interested. R34 3-row radiator will be in my rig by the end of the week. Overall it is about 1.5" narrower and 2" shorter, however it has a 3rd row which will give me a larger cooling surface and larger capacity then the SC rad. I will update this once I get results.

You can add an auxiliary external cooler pretty cheap and easy.

i know that, what im saying is my rig is running on stock and added external cooler and the tranny still gets hot. his gna have to add a big ass external cooler to compensate for the lack of a stock one.

Already have an aux trans cooler. Probably go even bigger next week. Its kinda a non-factor already
