The sky says the world is gonna end again today. But at least I had time to remove the step brackets before it began.

Now at least it looks like I know what I'm doing.

Looking good, you have made a ton of progress in a short amount of time.

Looking good!

Also, I may call you soon if I need help/guidance for installing a new head unit and how to manage the installation with the Rockford system.

Wokay.

Also, kids fell asleep early. Just enough daylight to get the other slider bolted up.

So I thought this was cool. With the sliders shoved all the way back, it gives me a very convenient mark to stop cutting fender.

So I may tackle that soon. I think I'll roll the edge in so I can reattach the liners like stock when I'm done.

I think I'm gonna weld these on instead of install all the little self tapping bolts that you're supposed to drill into the frame. It's not like there coming off ever.

Unnecessary. Just bolt it.

Do your snorkel before you weld. The front kickout lip of the WK sliders may make it difficult to get to the lower bolt/screw on the bottom of the fender.

I need to cut the fenders for the 35s and drill the holes for the snorkel before the wrap goes on. So I may do those two things next weekend.

Finished swapping LEDs in the climate controls last night. Decided that the knobs can stay orange. I can't get down in there to the LEDs and I tried to much failure to desolder the knobs themselves. So meh.

I also ordered another soldering iron. I tried removing LEDs on my practice cluster and broke a lot of circuit pads. Turns out unless you can heat both sides of the LED at the same time, it really hard to get them off.

Lastly, the Scosche dash kit that I bought doesn't fit my android radio.

Which is especially annoying as it says it fits full 7" double DIN unit it's. Liars. Oh well amazon return and order the Metra kit that is supposed to be better.

Which Android Radio did you buy?

It's a Pumpkin radio. The part numbers are so obscure on these android things that I honestly can't tell you.

The most important thing to look for in a Android car stereo is if it runs Android natively. Some of the cheaper ones run it on top on Windows CS and that causes a lot of reliability issues with the software. Running a OS on top of another OS is never a good thing. I made sure mine runs Android natively. I hope yours does too. Plus if you like I am a software coder and I tweaked mine a bit to run apps better. I can always do the same for yours. I noticed on mine when I got it that it was running apps thinking it was a phone in portrait so there was little actual visual space. I tweaked it to run in tablet mode so the apps work and look better on the screen.

One VDC switch. Replaced. That was stupid easy.

The astute among you will notice I have a blank switch plug in the middle here. There's a reason for this. I honestly have no clue what to put there. All my other switches are accounted for.

Obviously the OE locker switch is getting replaced, the clutch cancel is moving over here and the front locker switch is simply window dressing at this point. But I honestly have no clue what can go in that middle spot.

Already have a home for that. As well as all my lights and a power inverter.

I like that all of these switches will be driveline related. It makes me happy to group them. Whereas I'll have a second group of switches that's all accessories. I guess I could move something to here, but that would ruin the separation of church and state that I've got going on.

I'm the same way. All my lights are up in the old Bluetooth speaker spot. Drive train down there. Oba and winch power over where the stock or lights are.

Yeah. I'm going with a roof system too for all my accessories. All lights, air and power inverter. And then the two spots by the steering wheel will be winch power and control. The old 4 switch setup was great for my layout but the new style is either 3 switches or 5 switches. So I needed the 5 but I don't have the HDC so which would have been a good one, so I've got an empty spot.
