Well today was the day I made my new tires fit... I had to crank the torsions some more and pound the fenders back, but they fit with minimal rub at lock, and man the truck looks mean. Alignment tommorow morning and wash and grab some pictures in the daylight.

My apologizes if you've posted this else where, but could you post some pics of how you mounted your rocks lights? I'm about to throw some on mine and am looking for ideas.

I had a little mini trip to Colorado over the weekend. Helped with an SAS on a 2000 X, and then got to go out on a trail. More pictures to come.

Minor build update. As of tonight, my rear carrier bumper should be arriving within the next couple weeks, after I have my way with it, I will be mounting it onto the truck. Im also going to be working on a new mid-section skidplate to go further over my transfer case.

OHHHHH YEEEAAAHHHH!!! Picked up my rear bumper today, gonna do some modding to it to fit my needs, slap some paint on the swingarm, and mount it up by next weekend!

Im gonna be adding jerry can slots, shovel mount, and another antenna mount for when i get into HAM radios

I decided today was better than never to start on a few things to go on the bumper. I went to tractor supply and picked up a 2 post clamp for $3.50 and cut one side of it off. I then welded it to a piece of scrap steel I had laying in the shop.

Once I had that little piece made up, I ground some of the powder coating off the bumper, and welded it on, then I added a gusset for strength. Should hold the shovel pretty well, I may add some rubber to the clamp to grip the shovel a little better, but its certainly not going anywhere.

Other things that have happened since the last update. I ordered my spare tire and wheel, and an AAL from Nisstec. Also started work on my new Trans/Tcase skidplate.

For the price, its really cheap and easy to make 2. I may make another to have 2 points of grasp on the handle.

Got the matching spare on the wheel today. Looks MASSIVE but its still a 33" tire.

Also wired in 2 more LUX rocklights I purchased from OffroadGorilla.com, I think the White looks pretty good with the Blue and fills out the deadspace.

I had ordered an AAL from Nisstec a few weeks back, and immediately found someone selling an AAL for about half of what Nisstec was priced at. Although not brand new, as long as it helps with some of the weight until I can afford a set of Alcans thats all I care. SHOULD have them this coming monday

Alcans are definitely the way to go. I had bad luck with the add a leafs.

This is the truth, however the lead times for Alcans dont really help with the 45 days until Gone... just gotta make due for now

Yeah I got lucky being a local. I ordered mine and had them the next day due to a cancelled order. If you deal directly with them you may save money and it'll take less time.

What is a Alcans and a AAL? Just curious, trying to follow along on the build.

Alcans are custom made leaf packs for whatever weight you carry or tow as well as height you need.
AAL stands for add-a-leaf which is just an extra leaf spring put into your factory leaf spring pack to help it with weight and to give some extra life.

ive had AAL for a year or so and have no problems with weight in the back. They should be able to handle weight of the tire carrier. the good thing with first gens, are the leafs are way stronger than the sec gens

Well I but the bullet, made a call to Steven at RuggedRocks and now have an ARB dual compressor ordered. Figured I needed on-board-air and bought the best. Once I get it I will build a pedestal/box for everything
