I'll be hoping on I40 around exit 81 or so. I know there's usually a crew coming from Raleigh area as well. Maybe some coming up I26 from SC.

Last year we did a meet up and lunch in Asheville. If we wanna do that again this year I'd be okay with it.

Just post up where you'll be coming from and all that jazz!

I'll be coming from Raleigh, NC. We plan on leaving EARLY on Wednesday morning (like 7AM) since we'll be towing a camper to WENT this year. I wouldn't mind meeting up with folks, but we'll be much slower going with the camper this year. We SHOULD hit Asheville around 11:30AM, which would be a perfect time to stop for lunch.

That works good! I probably won't be going fast either. Especially through the gorge. I got the X up to about 60-70 and it was pretty comfortable. I don't wanna go faster than that haha

Yeah, honestly, I'm looking at 65MPH as being my top speed pretty much the whole way...and through the gorge, maybe MAYBE 50MPH...lol.

I was really hoping to get to camp grounds around 12-1 but I can leave at 7 am with you and meet people up in ashville around lunch time. From ashville to TN is about an hour. From there to camp anotjer hour to hour and half I think. Its roughly a 6 hour trip non stop

You gonna be coming down on I81? I checked on google maps and it's about 1.5 hours from Asheville to where I40 and I81 intersect.

It's just less than an hour from Asheville to the Tennessee line.

I wish they were open though...I'd rather have a nice fat steak before WENT this year, but I'm OK with hitting up TGIFridays with the crew again.

Honestly, I'm good with either...and I do LOVE some BBQ.

There's also Juicy Lucy's right on that same exit. They have really good burgers and wings and it's pretty decently priced. Just an option, I'm not picky haha

So, are we setting on Juicy Lucy's at 1130AM, then?

BSmithFronty, we can still leave SUPER early on that Saturday, as I'll probably not crest 65mph with the camper in tow, which will take almost exactly 4 hours to get, if we didn't stop...with 2 girls, we'll at least have ONE 15 minute stop, which makes is JUST over 4 hours. I think a 7AM departure time will be PERFECT.

If we get a headcount, and folks can provide an order, we can call ahead to have it ready for us at 11:45AM...this way, we get there at 11:30AM and it's already being prepared for us.

And what do you think about just getting call ahead seating and not worrying about the ordering? Maybe get 2 extra from whatever we come up with just to be sure.

Just went right by this place so the directions are fresh in my mind..

Take exit 50A Highway 25 S. Get in the left lane as soon as possible. In about less than a mile it'll be on your left right before the Hess gas station we went to last year
