See I've liked both as well, hail to the king got a little out of my happy range, but, it's also their first album without the rev, and that is a huge change in the creative process...not to mention their new drummer that's nowhere near as talented as the rev was...

As for ATR, I've liked their stuff up through the new album, which is odd cause I generally don't like screamy stuff...

Dangit, my bad. Suicide Silence took Eddie Hermida from All Shall Perish. I got my bands mixed up for a second.

As for A7X, I think they went down the crapper after beast amd the harlot. They went wimpy and soft in my view. I did see them live a couple years ago and they did put on good show. I think it was uproar. Shadows dropped from the rafters in a "noose" opening up the song "nightmare". However, gobblesmack was still better. :)

Worst show ever was Disturbed. It was good the first time but when they did the EXACT same thing 2 years in row after that I lost respect for them. They literally didnt change anything. Big lcd screens behind them showing music videos and pictures with some smoke and a little fire...I was disappointed.

See I don't fault a band for exploring other flavors of music...H2TK however, was a very metallicaesque album, and if they keep that sh¡t up, I'm gonna lose faith in em....

Saw Rage Against the Machine on their comeback tour. It rained the night before so the hill/general admission was a complete mudhole. Everyone out there was ripping up all the grass and hucking it on the people in the bandshell. Everybody was so rowdy that the whole concrete superstructure was shaking and felt like it was going to come down. Oh and Queens of the Stone Age was the opening band. They've been my favorite modern band ever since.

I don't mind a slight change in their style but they first came out as "Heavy Metal". I now categorize them as "Alt Rock" I generally don't last long mainstream music because I think the labels tear them apart from what they really set out to do. I like my underground bands or generally anything involved with Nuclear Blast Records. That label generally doesn't screw with the bands much from some of the stuff I've seen/listen to, currently.

A7X last album was pretty good but I could tell where they were headed. Korn for example has changed their sound one every album since they have been around and still sound heavy...even during their dubsteb phase. Maybe I'm just biased with Korn because they are my favorite band lol

I'm like that with The Agonist. Alyssa's voice is like sex to my ears.

it's kinda cool that we all like similar music. and yeah mitch is irreplaceable. i feel like he is 75% of the reason suicide silence got as big as they did. just like lech (the drummer) from as blood runs black got them so popular. they kicked him out for a whole hot minute and wrote half a cd without him then let him back in.

he actually wrote all the drums, vocals and guitars to the allegiance cd

the sexiest and best female vocalist: iwrestledabearonce

and they have CRAZY guitars and drums. grindcore to the max

I could never get into them. Something about it I didn't like. However my favorite female vocalist is Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil...she's like 40 and still smoking hot with a beautiful voice. Dhyde, you might like them if you've never listened, since you said the screaming isn't your thing.

Killswitch Engage was a pretty good show. Emmure was a awesome show too.. they played with about 5 other bands and killed every one of them.

Hmmm.... Many....Hendrix, Janis Joplin with Big Brother and The Holding Company, Stevie Wonder, Cream, Miles Davis (post *****es Brew), the Stones, James Brown with The Famous Flames, Tower of Power, Earl Scruggs, Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire (on the same stage together!), Rufus Wainwright, Jimmy Buffet, Spiro Gyra, .....and more. All great in their own right.

Best part of getting old - got to see all the cool bands!

Well anyways my fav shows I've seen...Halestorm /redlight king, cold/staind/gobblesmack, buckcherry/Lenny Kravitz. For the last show, went to see buckcherry and was then absolutely blown away by Lenny and his female drummer.

That's one hell of a list.

===> Yep. Went to a lot of concerts over the years! Still do. Best two SHOWS - as opposed to just musical concerts - had to be James Brown in 1968, and Stevie Wonder in the early eighties. Music rocks! I mean, REAL music, played on REAL instruments - not computers, synthesizers (pitch issues, anyone?), or scrapeing LPs backwards to make a rhythmic noise passed off as music. Sorry. Bit of bias there.

I agree (as a musician myself). That is a heck of a list, too. A few I wish I would have seen. Hendrix and Scruggs mainly. Man I wish I had a chance to see Earl. Wasted 40 years of opportunity there.

I guess I must really be old school, best one I saw was the monsters of rock in 1984 in germany. AC/DC, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Dio and more than I can remember.
Dang, I was THERE, man! In Nuremberg at the Zepplinfeld! That show kicked ASS!
