Not for sale, but here's what I built over the summer:

Still room for improvement (the backup sensors detect the spare as an obstacle, and most of the paint flaked off this last month).

I had a TAG bumper on my truck when I first got it. I sold it as soon as I got home. THe actual rear bumper was fine...if not a little hack welded. The big problem i had was the tire carrier. The hing sagged a lot, It wobbled horribly and the latch mechanism was a joke.

This is the only pic I have of my old TAG. I sold it a couple weeks after I got home from my road trip out to pick it up.

Another option out there is Bucksnort bumpers. I sell his rear bumper. He does not offer a rear tire carrier but I have seen him and a few others install the Hummer tire carrier and It is by far the most sturdy tire carrier that I have seen.

The Hummer tire carriers can be pretty cheap if you can find them on CL, or a junk yard. If you do get one from a junk yard try to get a look nat the wreck that it came off of to make sure that everything is straight.

I have a good friend that is runniung one on his fronty, he only had to extend it a little bit to make it work. And has been holding up to heavy wheeling with a 37 on it, for the last 3 years.

What kind of Hummer? Would this work?

I'm shopping for one now....did anyone ever get a 2nd gen up to RLC? otherwise I think I'm leaning toward a maxterra rear tire carrier bumper.... if RLC's got a blueprint for a gen2, it might be easier to have him do it since he's already doing my front bumper...

I may be wrong but I don't think anyone has ever hit him about a rear bumper just the front. I would have probably went with him if he had a Gen 2 option when I was ordering.

Sent from my mansion in Grouchland.

If you have to ask you can't afford it! Lol! This thing is epic a rear bumper to rule them all! Sent from the nighthog mobile command unit.

That's not necessarily true. I *can* afford it, I'm just not sure that putting a winch back there would be the best idea given my other plans for where the spare tire previously dwelled...

Yea, I don't think we want to know how much Chris's bumper cost him lol. I mean, it's the benz of rear bumpers!

The wrap around is a nice look. Question though, how is the corner supported?i know you guys don't have many ninja rocks out west, but over this way the corners take a lot of abuse. I'm just wondering how they'd survive a hit and not deflect into the body.

I'm not one of dem super technical types but I'll take more pics for ya. It seems pretty ridged from the couple trails I've done since the install. However it seems the ladder was unnecessary, so I probably wouldn't go that route again.

I popped on the creeper and it looks like along with the center bumper mounting locations on the frame, as this is a one-piece bumper, it also mounts to the body where the OEM bumper steps were. Sorry I didn't grab any pictures, handling my phone would have cased me to spill my scotch.

Whoa, just noticed my picture isn't showing up. Did I screw something up when I originally uploaded it, or is my super sweet HP Livestrong edition getting long in the tooth?

The mounting bolts? M14x1.5. I replaced when I installed my bumper. I forget the length though. Fastenal is your friend
Thanx Jeff , I can crawl under and get a close length measurement just wanted to get 'em before bumper is ready. Probably start shooting some Free-All on the bolt's and maybe a few love tap's with the 2lb persuader for a couple week's ;)

Hey all. Having a hard time finding some rear bumper options. I had a full set of armor ordered from Black Widow in Canada, but their fabricator got sick and they closed up shop. Now I'm looking for something else. Looks like Hardcore is on hold now due to the increase in steel prices. Shrock is an option but Maxterra as well? Does Maxterra have a website? Looks like I can order from 4x4 parts also. Does anyone know if this is a bumper they make themselves?

Any other options people can point me to? DIY kit is ok as well, that's what was ordered with Black Widow. Was going to fab it all with help from a friend.

You have to email Dave at Maxterra for a price list. I ordered one earlier this year and a not completely kitted out tire carrier bumper was around $2kUS because of the price increases.

@IM1RU can get you his e-mail.

I did the legwork earlier last year and came down to Daves bumper being the best option for what I wanted and had the best overall reviews, good looks and use ability blahblablah..

That's the one I'm going with.

Dave’s (MaxTerra) email is: maximumdesign@comcast.net

100% worth waiting for IMO. Best made bumpers you’ll find.
