Well, my rig has a date with some rollers on may 6th. Figured why not at $50 a pull. My guess is probably 145-155hp which I still think isnt TOOO bad.

Volvo, ftw!

yeah yeah... lol. Im really not much a sedan guy personally. I like hot hatches and wagons primarily. If I could find either a clean 02 SF chassis forester or and 05 SG5 chassis forester I would be all over it. They seam to stay in the 5k-15k range so a bit outta budget on the top end. I can get a Fiat 500 Abarth for around 8k average and its a 2013. Doesnt need to be fast, just fun and fairly economical for daily driving and parts runs to CO

I've got a 2006 forester xt as a dd and I have been very happy with it, going to need head gaskets very soon though :( lol

I had an 05 XT lowered on STi struts and springs, STi sways, Sti TMIC, VF39, Tsudo catless turboback, kartboy endlinks, kartboy botox bolts, Rallitek trans bushing, 245/45/18 wheels and tires. That car would run 170mph if you let it. All good fun til you smash a guardrail at 100+.

Casey, I like Volvos dont get me wrong, the C30 Polestar is a badass little car. The majority of what they make isnt my first choice... although my ex GF had an S60 R that was pretty quick. Honestly if I went sedan it would be an E30, STi, or newer M3/M6

Minor update, nothing exciting. I called Calmini the other day to find status of my SAS kit. was told it is currently being built and expect to have it shipped within the next few weeks. Im not expecting it any time soon.... this is calmini we are talking about. I am getting a little anxious to get this kit. I have alot of work to do once it arrives.

On another note. I think I have settled on a 500 Abarth. I can find them for relatively cheap, just need to get some money saved up and hopefully find one localish.

Need Bigger Tires
I ordered an idler arm brace and heavy duty upper control arms from calmini on march 21st. Still havent gotten any news on them. Should I be worried?

I was start calling them twice a week, be polite and sound concerned. That has gotten me alot further than being an A$$

Little fabrication update.

No more broken tow hooks! These are welded solid to the frame, I dont think I will have any issues with these.

Tomorrows goal is to take EVERYTHING out of my rig, go through all my tools and streamline my tool kit to a much lighter load, reorganize my rear hatch area, and get the rest of the winters junk out of the back seat. HOPEFULLY I shed some weight and gain a little bit of mileage back, regear will be happening in 2 weeks the night before GoneMoab 2017 so that should help me get up and over the summit on the trip there.

Well this happend, toolkit streamlined and lightened up. Dropped nearly 60lbs. Cleaned my airfilter, diagnosed why my cruise control doesnt work, fixed my seat guides, and went 5psi over recommended on my tires to help with mileage. Pretty productive day. 19days till I head to Moab!

Third member and 5.13s got dropped off with the guy doing the install on those. I will be buying Darude's old 5.13/Lokka'd diff before I head to Gone2017 and everything will be installed the night before I drive out. Today I made a "prefilter" for my airbox since I discovered that rocks and dirt have made their way inside. I ran and drove the truck and there seems to be no major changes with having this in here other than the rocks and dirt coming off the tires now SHOULDN'T

That's some solid reorganization in the cargo area.

Cool idea with the "prefilter". How were rocks getting in the airbox though? Do you not have fender liners?

nope, they flew off going down the highway last year, I never did find out where though :/.... the rocks were just coming up off the tires and getting in I guess, not entirely sure

I'm not sure if it would constrict air too much but you could get some porous foam and that will really help with dust getting in as well. Or just check your air box every evening after riding trails and bring spare air filters. They're cheap enough to stock up. I keep 2 in my storage box.

I carry a spare cheapo Fram filter for the ride home. I think doing a porous foam in there sounds good, however I think it would restrict airflow more that I would like. I do have a K&N panel filter already so it should be enough to stop/slow the dust

I've seen guys run McDonald's cups with hole drilled in them not saying it's a good idea. Yours is much better
