Hey guys. How's everyone doing. Super long time since I posted so if this is the wrong area, I apologize, and just let me know where to move it.
Ok, so here's the deal. I have a 2000X, and I'm about to replace the rotors, shims and pads, on the front. Now, the rotors and shims are factory, and the pads, I cannot tell since I bought it used. So I'll assume prolly aftermarket. Now I never had any luck buying aftermarket pads for any of my vehicles. They would always squeal no matter what brand I bought. But, if I bought factory pads for them, I never had a squeal from any of them.
Now if I buy these parts factory, it's going to run me 300 per side. So I would like to know if anyone has replaced the above mentioned with aftermarket parts, and never ever had a squeal or issue from the day they were installed. What brand did you use, and where did you get them? And also, when I pull the hub, what kind/type of grease should I use to repack the bearings and re lube the inner area of the hub.
Thanks so much for your time guys!

P.S. Can someone point me in the direction as to where I can get one of those big "X" decals for my truck?

Current pads on my truck came from O'Reillys. Rotors were machined by them, and were Raybestos. Prior pads were Raybestos as well, and never had a squealing issue with them. As for the axle lube, just that.

I think this is the tub I use. I know I have a small tube of that in my grease gun.

I have a bearing greaser that I push grease into and it pushes the old grease out. Something like this:

is highly recommended.

I've always recommended cheap plain rotors (not drilled/slotted, whatever you can get from the parts store) with a good pad like an Akebono ceramic, which was the OEM for nissan for awhile but you can also get them from the parts stores. Squeals can usually be addressed by greasing up the shims (permatex high temp ceramic is what I use). This setup worked well for me and I bomb my truck around the mountains like a sports car.

I picked up the powerstop entire set a couple years ago, the non slotted rotors, with ceramic pads. worked amazingly well, and not a bad price. I am pretty sure that I picked them up at RockAuto not a bad price and a nice way to spend a day in the driveway.
