P&P Engineering is doing a Group Buy on almost all our products. It is officially open and collecting orders as of this thread being posted. There will be a separate thread for each product to keep it more easily organized and discussion focused on the particular product.

These are so fresh they are not even on our website yet! We will get them up shortly, please be patient. We're working as hard as we can.

Tube wrap bumpers we can do grou buy pricing on 5+ of both generations of truck combined, including frontiers, as they use the same materials. We need frontiers - both 1st and 2nd gen for fitment. Any frontier willing to come to the shop to let us use the truck for fitment will receive 20% off the group buy price and free install!

Plate bumpers will need 5+ for each generation as they are CNC bent to fit the shape of the specific truck.
*All of our bumpers come with brackets that have holes to mount the bumper in 1 location for non-body lifted trucks, then allow you to move them up ~2" if you body lift the truck in the future. No need to choose. 1 bumper for life.

All pricing is done from the base, without powder coating. Then options can be added at additional cost. Base pricing and all options are discounted prices who's discount grows as each tier for that option is reached. Because we do not powder coat in house I need each tier to be reached for powder coating services to be able to give that discount on powder. I do not control the pricing of this and I do not mark it up at all. Cost of powder coat is always passed directly through. I actually lose money when you count my time and fuel to drive to/from the powder coater.

Lead time on these is expected to be 2-3 weeks after the close of the group buy - or after reaching the 10 confirmed/deposited orders we will order our materials and start production. We will be able to turn these FAST. Example If you ordered powder coated sliders and we started production Feb. 1 you could expect to have tracking on your order before March 1.

Please allow an additional ~10-14 days for powder coat. We will be taking a LARGE order to powder coat so it may slow him down a little bit, but he has a huge oven so maybe not.

Pricing:

Closing end of Feb. Will be building before that. Want to have everything shipped by end of March - most before that.

Any pics of a 2nd gen type 3 w/ corner skins and a carrier?

Sent from the bunker on the hill.

Not off hand. I'm in an OEM engine training this week. Putting together a list of what I need to get people and will update this weekend.

I'm really digging that type 2 plate for the 1st gen. My only concern is mounting a license plate to it. I guess I could always rig something up on the tire carrier, thoughts?

I need to move pics and detailed answers over here from another forum. Swing arms are done on 1st and 2nd gen plate bumpers.

We will have cladding on front and rear 2nd gen tube bunper by midweek with a tire carrier to follow.

List started Thanks guys!

Do you have payment options up for the first gen plate bumper? I didn't see it on your site. Also, what size are the recovery point holes for the D ring bolts?

Not yet. That should be coming this week.

You're right I didn't list those specs anywhere. Recovery points are 3/4" thick with a 1" hole to accommodate a 3/4" pin shackle.

I'm tryin to make it work funds wise for one of these too...

Couple questions:
1. Can I get the tire carrier to accommodate a 35?
2. Can the tire carrier be pushed towards the center a little more so it's not covering drivers side tail light
3. How many orders you up to for the plate bumper?

4. This no worries if you can't
* shipping quote to 30710?

1. Yes the tire carrier was designed to accommodate a 35", but positioned for a 33" to give as much rear vision as possible. The 35" version will be slightly taller as to not obstruct the latch. You'll just have to specify which you want when ordered. Same price.

2. Yes we can. That seems to be something we got wrong so we'll be moving it inboard a touch. We do have to mount the tire as far to the driver side as we can to accommodate 35" tires though or the hatch won't open when swung open.

3. We are going to sell to whomever at the 5 level for each gen. If there are not 5 we will buy the other spots and have a few in inventory. Between all the forums, I don't have the exact count off the top of my head on the bumpers.

The plate mount is fairly trivial, which is why it's not shown. We can do it on the swing arm, we can do it offset from the hitch, or we could make a bracket to hold it in the center out over the hitch on a flip up plate mount.

Or really anything else that you could come up with - within reason.

What are the numbers looking like for a Gen 2 plate bumper w/ tire carrier? I could drive up for pick up/install. I have a couple questions though: Is there/can there be a spot for a wiring harness to pass through? I don't seen one in the pictures. Also, is there not a spot to hook safety chains next to the hitch? Would you consider it a class 3 hitch?

How are we placing orders for these? I didn't see the bumper on the website? Or are you just sending out an invoice.

I'm not 100% I'm in but I very well could be

I have not gotten it up on the website yet. That should be coming this week. We have been buried in slider orders and working very hard to stay on top of those.

We have been using the recovery points for safety chains but could add chain hoops. A pass-through for a wire harness can be added at customer request. To better illustrate the lines of the bumper we photographed without it.

Our hitch will be fully capable of handling anything the factory hitch would. There's a pretty good chance our welder welded the hitch on a large portion of Xterra's out there, and a 100% chance it came out of the facility he worked in with the exception of Curt hitches. Curt's were made in a different facility.

We are swamped on slider orders and a couple other projects and have not updated this thread nearly enough. So my apologies for that.

So updates:

(1)We have interest in between 5 and 8 of each gen currently.

(2) I will be getting deposit items up on the site tonight or tomorrow night

(3) lead times on these look like they would run into late-april with our current workload

(4) as we have been late/slow on getting deposit links up we are going to leave this open beyond the end of the month. close is TBD. Close date will not have any effect on start of production of these.

(5)Deposits will be based on the 5+ user level for both gens - just as our sliders were. Balance items will be created once the final level has been determined when the group buy closes.

A little house keeping
*all the pics I currently have are up.
*gens will have a "frame stiffener" plate of sorts to use on the inside of the C-channel portion of the frame - we are still working out the exact details

PM sent. I'll restate my questions -

1. Do you have any pictures of the Gen 1 Plate bumper WITH a tire carrier? I'm interested to see how it looks. I'm sitting here with the money and ready to pull the trigger on a bumper.

2. What additional cost would there be for mount for a Hi-Lift

3. Where do I go to figure the shipping to 37122?
