Ivan, Now Khakified!

So, my name is Steven, and I am 17. My X's name is Ivan, and he is only truly a few weeks old. He is a 2001 XE. I got him back in November of 2012, and just started modding in march.

I had just recently repainted his plastics, took off his step rails, and the front mudflaps, and bumped up to some pro comps 31inch.

And this is how he sits today.

For the most part most of my mods have been cosmetic, as Ivan wasn't very appealing to the eye at first.
But as i'm starting a very well paying job, parts will begin to roll in onto him.

Now, last Wednesday Ivan came back from the local muffler shop with a Flowmaster Super 40 muffler (single in, dual out) and started sounding quite mean. WARNING: You will see my license plate in this video, but its my old one so dont worry about it ahaha.

The more I see it, the more I want to take all the plastic off from my front bumper...I like the look man. Blue and black looks great!

I was skeptical at first, but it was an accident actually. I was changing his spark plugs and wires, and whilst in the engine bay, I slipped and stepped on the plastic, ripping one side of it off. So I was like, eh, why not. Ahaha.

Haha, I've already cut half mine off trimming for tires. The fog lights I have are kind of shot so I might as well just ditch it and get new lights to mount on the frame horns.

To me every russian needs to have facial hair. So my friend bought me this as a joke, but it fits him well.

Even flatblacked the locks on the drivers side and rear hatch when I repainted the door handles.

Good looking Xterra. This is a perfect example of how a little time and effort can completely transform an X from looking like every other one on the street to something totally unique. Nice job.

I probably only spent 40 dollars on paint so far.I only bought one can of blue paint for everything that is blue, and i still have about a quarter of the can left over.

Finally got around to replacing my 6x9's.

A friend of mine bought these seat covers online and didnt like they sat in her car. So, she let me have them and I stretched them over my rear seats. I kinda like them as theyre are black for the most part, match my current front seat covers, and say X Gear on them.

Got a pair of 6in lights to go on my roof until I can get the LED lights on Primes GB.

Decided I was done with the rear cargo carpet. It was stained from the previous owner and it was started to tear from something.

And got a Synthetic Oil change with a K&N filter. All for only 32 at AutoZone.

So uhhh. On a whim last night, a friend and I went mudding. I decided to let her drive, (never happening again) and she was crazy. Going through things I would never have the balls to go through without having the upgrades I want. We were in mud up to the bottom of the caps on the wheel and Ivan never even flinched. Sadly, its rained this morning so all of my mud was washed off save for a small amount. This is all I have to show for it. :/

And while at the local courthouse paying a seat belt ticket, I had to park to the ugly X and take a picture. I. Just. Had. To.

Funny story about this battery.. I was originally going to buy the Diehard Platinum. Thinking it was at Autozone,(subconsciously knowing it wasn't I asked for it there. The guy was like, diehard? We only have the Duralast Platinum.

Me being dumb, I thought I had mistaken the name so I was like, Oh! that must be it.

So, spent 175 on this AGM battery. Still has a 3 year warranty and it does work so far. I'm happy with it, but next time, i'll actually get a diehard.

Spare on, and strapped down. (Can't even tell due to my amazing hiding skillz.)

And since I had the paint...

And finally got my new amp.

I really dig the look of the X, man. Once I get mine actually running correctly I can finish eliminating the nasty silverness on mine. I'm doing the red accents though, instead of the blue. The weird thing is, blue is my favorite color....derp.
