We want to say thank you to all that helped make the 1st National Xterra Meet a huge success. We had 49 Nissans at the first event and would love to break that for the nXm2.. The nXm isnt just about wheeling.. We want to help give back something to the area's we take over for the weekend. This years event brought in over 2500 pounds of food and clothing to the people of Alabama.
That is an amazing amount of items to give from such a small group of people.
We would love to break that record too!

In 2012 we will be hitting Coal Creek / Windrock Mountain. This place is one of the Gems of the East Coast.

This park makes Woolys look like a speck of dirt. It's 72,000 Acres of play ground. I promise you.. You will not see the same Tree twice.. It has over 250 miles of trails. And they keep adding more.. From stock to Rock! If you want to test the limits of your Xterra you can do it.. If you want many hours of riding on light trails you got it.. This place really has something for everyone.. We want every Xterra owner to feel like they can play.. And the views of the East TN Mountain sides are amazing!

^^what does this mean? You better be there

The point is death is about the only thing that would keep me from it. Even then someone should have the decency to toss my corpse or ashes or whatever's left in the Xterra for one last ride. I don't remember if it was in the nXm 2011 or 2012 thread there.

Nice! :) then we can use the wind turbines to chop up your corps or simply spread your ashes over the beautiful mountain. :)

I like it! For now I'm sticking to my original plan of being there alive and doing my own driving, but it's good to know there's a backup plan that will have me there anyway.

ITs hard to answer that Aaron.. These trails can be different from spring to fall... 22 has been 2wd friendly in the past.. From what I heard over the weekend 22 was about un-passable with all the rain they had last week.. The 4 wheeler group does a pretty good job keeping CC clean and passable

Are these 4x2 friendly? I think I like these trails....just a shot in the dark because I dont know if Ill have my current X or what...but If I do id like to know...
Yes its 4x2 friendly aaron..I have done it in 2x4 before and Have been down it with a member who was 2x4... there will be plenty of action there for all, but like dave said a little rain can make it a whole new world

The National Xterra Meet staff would like to welcome thexterra.org as an official sponsor. If you guys are over on thexterra.org anytime soon, be sure to let them know that you're excited they decided to become a part of the second annual nXm.

Aaron, you have recovery points on both ends? If so you have no worries.

No, Either im going to try and find a 4x4 X in the spring after some hardcore convincing on my parents or make my 4x2 more capable. I need to pick up a hitch sometime for the rear...I only have OEM front hook.

Sorry Ryan, my kids were in the back chanting "Sea World! Sea World!" lol.

I promise to leave the tidal waves at home.

I had a couple of thoughts for 2012 NXM.

What if we had our own car show?
I'm not sure if you would want to do this at CC or the campground or in town, but that doesn't really matter. It could be centered around a meal at the end of the day with beer and music. I think that we should create a form for people to fill out that would list all of the mods done on their rides. Then we put them on the X somewhere and let folks gawk. I think it would have to be private to just us X owners, as many will be loaded down with gear and I don't just anyone walking around X.

What if we did an entry level 30 minute class the first morning before the we hit the trails?
Lets give the newbs a little something to chew on. Give them the basics about the importance of maintenance and don't come out on the trail if you know something may leave you stranded and you don't have the money to or knowledge to get yourself out. We could also cover other basics like having some damn trail manners and how not to be a douche! We don't want Xterra owners to have a bad name, and it is an opportunity teach other what we love about off-roading.

How about we set up some schedules for group runs or other events that might take place? I know I'd like to catch some Xterra owners mudding their rides. Not that I'm going to do it, but I would sit and drink and watch. Also we should plan a couple of night rides for groups of different experience levels.

These are just a few. I may have more although none of them may be interesting.
