Got the exhaust all buttoned up and the M205 fixed. Thought it was an axle seal but turned out that the stub shaft popped out a little and the C-Clip came out the groove. They put it back in and cleaned it up and all good.

Nice. I think I may be investing in some soon

Been meaning to order a set of the Tactical Cordura ones we offer for our Xterra.. Slightly over rated in the use of "Tactical" but the the implementation of MOLLE on the back seats for the wifey and I really has unlimited uses and needs waiting to be exploited for our gain. Should compliment the HEPS MOLLE front door panel inserts very well.

Maybe we should do that sooner than later.

I think I pinpointed a sound issue. Just need to determine if it’s a speaker acting wonky or wiring. It was too hot to dig into all the wiring this weekend though so I may just pop the passenger door panel this week and see if there’s a loose connection at the speaker. It works, but there’s definitely times when there is a clear difference in sound and loudness within the same song that doesn’t replicate in my other vehicle.

Been really good to me, bought it in like 2007ish. At 100k, like clockwork the timing belt broke without damaging anything. I replaced belt, water pump, and did a K/S relocate, changed plugs and wires. As some know, was a Pita but worth it. Redid the headliner a few years later, wasn't too bad. Just recently painted all the caps. It wasn't too bad taking off the Nissan symbol with drill and re glueing. Actually been wanting to post a guide about disassembling and painting them just haven't gotten around to it. They came out a little lighter then I wanted but overall, I am happy with them. Other then that, mostly all stock. Pretty uneventful last few years, up until a month ago, been chasing down a random miss fire(without Cel) and now possibly a future Cat replacement. p0430 :( .

Just added gas and took it to town. Hoping to go on a little road trip tomorrow but I'm not feeling the greatest at the moment.

X upgrades are on hold for a little while. I've still got my ARB compressor to install and my braided brake hoses so I may try to get that done but the truck needs focus to get it back in shape for towing and backup DD duties.

Nice thread bump!

Lets bring this sucker back to life.

Went shopping for tires..... I hate this decision. Thinking of the General Grabber X3.... My Duratracs have taken a beating, and lasted way longer than expected, but it's time for a change.

Cooper all the tires. Have ATPs on the wife's Pathy and STT Pros on the X. I've been floored with these tires. The ATPs will need replacing before it snows this year but they've got damn near 50k on them. Not bad for a 30k all terrain.

And the STT Pros have like 25k on them and practically look new. Plus they were fantastic at Moab this year.

I try to avoid mud whenever possible but I've been really happy with my Cooper AT3s. They've got about 20k on them and still look new. I regularly run them around 15psi off-road (when I'm loaded light) and haven't had any issues with them so far. They're quiet and smooth at highway speeds too.

I'm very pleased with them and will be putting a set on my K2500 soon!

Any suggestions on a nice AT 285/75/16 that is good for DD and off-road traction? I’m still on the P4X OEM Hankooks. Im going to stick with P tires and not go up to LT. Honestly, I may stick with 265/75/16, I don’t do too much off-roading but that may change during this next tire selection cycle! Any advice appreciated, most recently I was thinking about AT Falken Wildpeaks, had read that they were a great option for DD and off-road/overlanding

Those Falkens are good tires. They are quite stiff and I don't think you'll find a P series tire in 285/75. I think you might get a Load D though, which will be a little lighter than the E's I run. @IssacHunter has been running them for a while and they seem to do a good job.

I can't help but recommend the Cooper Discoverer AT3's. Mine have been great for DD use. We use the X as a family vehicle and they are quiet and smooth on the highway. They've been to the Outer Banks, Gatlinburg, Savannah, and Colorado in the last couple years as well as off-roading aired down to 15 psi and are still going strong with 20k on them.

As stated, I've run Duratracs for some time, and been very happy with everything but the chunking, which eventually rendered them dead. That said, I've had them on for 4 years, of VERY HARD ABUSE. I just need a change.

Cooper ATPs. My wife's Pathy is 90% road. They were awesome this past winter in the snow and ice, and I've wheeled them a few times and was really impressed with them for an AT tire.

Ive been running duratracs for about the same amount of time and wheeled the snot out of them. They were flawless up until the Titan swap and stepping up to harder trails. These east coast rocks are sharp little jerks and I've been slicing sidewalls like crazy

Firestone destination A/T’s. Not super aggressive looking but holy hell are they a good functioning all around tire. Handled nasty winters here in PA, all the mud and rocks at Rausch Creek off-road park, and a quieter road tire.

If you want something more aggressive looking, the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3’s I have now are also good. They are an AT/MT hybrid. Great for off-road. Good on snow, but not so much on ice. Also, pretty loud road noise.

Agreed on the mud. I hate it. With a passion.

I've never busted a side wall, And taken them through some horrible stuff. The east coast is another animal altogether from what we have out here. I've been very impressed. But Chunking is a problem.... no tire will get you everything. Soft and siped, equals good in Ice and snow, and grippy on the slick rock, but you'll leave chunks behind.

I ran Duratracs on my 1st gen. They were great. The only downside was the treadlife. Like @IM1RU said, the compound is really soft. It tends to wear quickly. But offroad they were great.

See, I've never had a chunking problem
