My timing belt was changed at 139000 and now has almost 190000. When would be a good time to change it again?

'Good' time to change it is at 239000, as it's due every 100k. I'd probably do it at 200 anyway for the ease of math. Mine was done at 180 and I'm planning to push it to 300 before the next one.

Need Bigger Tires
Ok so I am looking for timing belt kits online for me VG33e. How are the ones on amazon? They are definitely cheaper (about $200) than the timing belt kit from courtesyparts.com (about $335). I also noticed that the amazon kit comes with a gasket for the thermostat where as the courtesyparts does not. Any suggestions on which kit you recommend and why would be great! Thanks!!

I bought mine from rockauto. It was right around $90 I believe; I got the one made by gates.

sent from the middle of a corn field.

the belt is 100k or seven years, whichever is first, so it depends on the timing.

for the parts, i like Nissan OEM, but have not heard anyone say anything bad about the rock auto, or other sources

Don't forget. When you do the belt you should also do your water pump, thermostat, and cam seals while you're in there. Even if you don't need them, it makes sense to do them while everything is apart. I paid about $350 in parts at the dealership to have mine done. (and $700 in labor).

And the tensioner for the timing belt, had one pop while on a trail in Moab, finished the week at Gone, and drove all of the way back home before I figured out which one it was. I got very lucky, i thought that it was the one for the power steering but did not find it until final tear down and found bearings loose inside the timing cover.
