Lets hope my ambition holds up through the week. Its done and it makes me easily identifiable (as if the green wasn't enough).

Lowered SAS?

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to SAS it... but I need a DD and about $20,000... and a steady job... and a garage... and a steady life.

I feel like someone got a custom paint job...

I would love a lime green or flat tan truck, but no. That last picture is how my truck sits right now.

I'm sorry for leading y'all on about this. I feel bad that I'm attracting attention over something so small. Just a little different.

DON'T TELL ME HOW TO SPEND MY MONIES.

Seriously though, I just dumped more than I wanted to allot into recent truck stuff. I need to lay off... though, that is a handy tool to have around.

I'll have mine with me at Went and Kevin is supposed to bring an swr meter. I'll be tuning mine Wednesday night.

I got my CB tuned. It took a little tinkering. Some steps were probably not necessary, but I pulled out all the stops short of buying new parts.

1) Changed the mount's ground location. A friend running a similar setup on his Taco suggested I run the ground to the taillight mounting bolts/screws. This is one of those I'm-not-sure-it-mattered things. Remember, I had it on the hatch striker catch.
2) Uncoiled the excess coax. I had the excess coiled up in a figure-eight-esque bundle under the cupholders. At some point when trying to tune, one of the loops was pulled for slack, causing a 2" diameter loop/kink.
3) Closed the doors. I read this changes the ground plane enough to affect the SWR. I don't understand ground planes very well, but I tried it for gits and shiggles.
4) Changed the procedure. Someone suggested that I go back to FWD and reset the meter every time I tune the antenna. Additionally, I put the cap back on the antenna after every adjustment.

My final numbers were something like:
Channel 1 - 1.5
Channel 40 - 1.45
Channel 19 - 1.2

I'm such a terrible person. I didn't update this thread with the magiks.

So if you saw me at WENT, I was this guy (also the guy who had t-case/abs issues again):

Also installed a K&N CAI two weeks ago. I like it.

I was surprised how little dirt/mud you had in the cabin haha. What ended up being your t-case issue?

I actually have a fair amount. My weathertechs are nasty and I had to clean off the inner door jambs. The PS dash is also spotted still. Other than that, its not that bad!

I still haven't fixed it. There are two local trans shops (and the dealer) that both close by the time I get off work AND don't work weekends. I'm holding off until I get back home in a week to properly diagnose it. My VDC|OFF light has been on ever since, but no SLIP light, which is interesting. I'm very slowly wondering if the Diff-Lock-Anytime Mod is playing a part in some way. I've read up as much as I can, but there hasn't been a definitive yes/no. The dealer said, back in May, that it shouldn't matter, especially since they fixed this issue once before. I'm going to have the VDC codes read tomorrow or Saturday if possible. If nothing else, I'll do some ABS, multimeter work when I get home.

Just curious, has anyone seen the Nissan Data Scan thing thats been around in Australia? It seems kinda neat and supposedly it pulls ABS codes (which some say you can only do with the 'spency Consult II).

So after a year, I have updates. I have slapped on a Hardcore Offroad bumper. Its pretty sweet.

Ummm....

Oh, and I put a new radiator in yesterday. Seems the stock one finally cracked. Don't worry though, I had the bypass.
