In the spirit of this forum I figured we could use a thread dedicated to sharing what you did for your health today?

Post up if you worked out, went for a run, changed your diet, rode your bike a couple miles, heck even parked in the back of the parking lot to get the exercise of walking the longer distance.

It counts more than "walking around Lowes" for the exercise. Seriously, after my wife's baby appointment today we walked around Lowes to kill time before we ate BBQ lol.

I wrestled a 130lb mastiff out of the kennel in the truck and walked her to get her vaccines. She was super nice and made me wish I had a pretty mastiff, too. I went horseback riding for 4h in the backcountry, i.e. Owyhee mtns on Sat. And yes, horseback riding is quite the workout!

I did some wrestling, jumping and running.

With my schedule, to conclusions, and at the mouth.

Concrete garage with workout floor pannels to help the feet and hands. Almost tossed my dinner and had a pounding headach... Maybe better tomorrow. Haha

I have been on and off with working out and staying shape. I had been off for about a year and now getting back in to it. I work out during lunch at work. The Univeristy Gym is close so it works out. I have been using free trainers as it gives you a custom work out schedule based on your goals.

I eat a good breakfast and then a protein shake just before the gym, afterwards I have healthy fruits and veggies. I find I can do this work out and still have dessert after dinner and continue to lose weight. My goal is to lose or maintain my current weight through the holidays and get back down to 190 after the 1st of the year.

Today I'm going to the gym.

Man I can't wait til I can afford a gym membership. I worked out for about 3 months doing crossfit by trading work for workouts. Eventually he ran out of work for me to do. I learned a lot but I work out better by going somewhere and having a structured workout.

Today I raked/shoveled goat/sheep/llama poo for an hour, cleaned out the porcupine exhibit and tried dragging a 400lb Aldabra tortoise across the floor so I could get out. That was a good workout. Then I went to Red Lobster and gained all the cals and then some back. :)

How exactly does a cop end up working at the zoo?

Back in March I did P90X and dropped 45 lbs. (it's the best thing I've ever done for myself in my life). My goal was to loose a bunch of weight, build a bunch of muscle (to get my metabolism rockin), and be able to eat whatever I want again and not gain anything back (without working out really anymore). So far it's worked perfectly. I still eat good most of the time, but I don't hold back when I want something bad. I went from size 34-36 to size 30 and XL shirts to Med, in 90 days. Went from 199.8 lbs to 155 lbs. I can't tell you how absolutely awesome it is. And It's so cool having too buy all new clothes, lol.

That's freaking AWESOME! Congrats on the life change man. Got before and after pics? I've got some before pics of me at my worst, still not bad, but I don't plan on showing them til I've got something to show lol.

I started lifting weights and doing situps and crunches everyday when I'm at work, and my wife got me a gym membership for my birthday, so I'll start that Wednesday when i get home from work. Thinking about riding my bike to the gym on nice weather days, if I think I can get there and back without being run over. Houma is not very bike friendly.

Just got done with week 2 of P90X (round 2 for me, lol). I started really missing the incredible feeling I get when I do the program, so I decided to brutally punish myself all over again, lol. I should really have the rockin beach body by spring.

I should really have my head examined, lol.

After getting to day 47 on p90x I gave up lol.
Im a very skinny guy, which I dislike.
So I have been lifting 6 days a week for the past 2 weeks with my huge brother. Im going to try and keep it up because I don't want to be a stick working out next year in college.
As for being in shape, my summer job and basketball season keeps me in shape ha.

I will second the feeling I get after working out, I feel good about myself, it has something to do with chemicals in your body.. yada yada something I learned in psych this semester.

I was sorta the opposite, most do it as a weight loss... I was trying to do it as a weight gainer or muscle gainer lol. I found it easier to just go to the gym and lift in my case.

I had two knee surguries in 14 months (1st July 2009, 2nd Sept 2010). I used to run 15 miles a day. Since March of 09 (day of injury) I haven't ran. I gave up skateboarding due to not wanting another surgery. But I keep up with daily PT as well as hitting the office gym occasionally. I started eating healthy but I want to give P90X a try. I wanna get rid of about 30 maybe 40 pounds. Does anyone have a way to copy the dvd so I can buy a copy off ya? I refuse to buy the dvd. lol

//Rant begin//

I just want it to be known this low carb lower calorie diet sucks, trying to stick to a diet/workout plan my friend has had great success with and he was only on the diet plan, since he had a broken arm he was not working out, and hes a pretty fit guy and still lost 20 pounds.
Anyway it sucks, i hate eating ever 2 hours and being hungry all the time. I had no idea i actually ate that much throughout the day. Ugh
//Rant finished//

Good luck to everyone else out there.

Yep, it really does suck at the beginning, but your body then adapts, and it really becomes a life change.

I just finished Phase 1 (the first 4 weeks are done, lol). Now I start to add some good carbs back in. (there is a light at the end of the tunnel, lol.)

BTW guys, don't forget to take your" before" pics, you will really be glad you did when you take your "after" pics and say "WOW, I can't believe this killer body was under all that goo.", lol.

Most women do like yoga, I don't think I have ever seen a guy doing yoga now that I think about it. I think I will give p90x a try, the yoga can go to the wifey.
