Subwoofers, what do you run?

I have always wanted subs and so when I got my first set I went a bit overboard. 2 Kicker L5s on a 2000 watt monoblock amp in a kicker box. That was way too much for me, so I sold those and bought a JL Audio 12W6V2 and wired that to a 800 watt monoblock amp.. I traded that for a bike (worst idea ever) and then recently put together a super cheap but effective system. I am now running a 10" MTX sub on a bridged 500 watt amp in a custom box.

So, what do you have?

i ran 2 jl 10v3 with a 1200 mono for ever, also 2 12"phase2 rockfords with a 1200 mono rockford, now i run a little 10" self amplified bazooka tube because i needed space, for what it is it serves its purpose of course i always want more boom but the room it takes up just isn't realistic at this point in life.

One 10" Kicker Comp. Series.

It's in a Kicker box upside down and elevated at one end to avoid damage to the speaker.

Last sub setup I had was on my 97 Prism. It was a single 8" in the trunk, and I can't remember the power behind it any more (car was totaled in 03 for the X). Just enough for effect but not enough to piss off the driver next to me.

I'm currently looking for a sub. I've got an Infinity 5-ch amp that puts out 150w@4Ohms for the sub. I've already got the matching 6x9s installed in the back and I have the full component set for the front still in the box. All Infinity Reference.

I'm thinking about a single 8 or single 10 in a sealed box. I don't need a lot. Just enough.

2 12" kickers with an 1800 watt kenwood amp... Its a lot to handle sometimes! Haha I want to sell them... Dont listen to rap too much... Only country for the most part!

If I had the money and time I wanted to build a transmission line box for a sundown audio sa-8. I would look into JL Audio, Sundown, the Kicker L series, Alpine Type R, just to name a few that sell 8s, if you go 10 you can get real crazy like the Orion HCCA.. What a beast of a subwoofer.

forgot about my type r's i had in my diesel. for such a small speaker they sound really good and don't need much space at all!

Bazooka tube!! 8" even, super small and super loud if you want it to be... I will never buy another sub again, I'm running it off a 400 watt amp from Walmart lol, I have had several bigger hi end systems but this one seems to be the best, sounds great.. I used to have a 1000 watt alpine pushing two 12" Memphis audios, it was so loud that I thought the windows were going to shatter, then I had two 10" jl audios with a 600 watt alpine but got tired of them taking up room, now I'm at the bazooka tube

I replaced all the stock speakers w/ Alpine's. The 6x9's above, 6" (I think) round & 2.5" tweeters in the doors.
I didn't want an overpowering sound...just something that was crisp and clear for my JAZZ. I also have 2 equalizers in a box somewhere. 5 & 7 band that I was thinking about installing if I can find one.

I am in the process of building a storage/tool box for the back. I took out my back seats and this will be the general position once the box is finished.

Ok...so its officially Sub Shopping time. My amp and speakers are done. I need some more bass in my life. But not a lot. The work van has a pretty kicking system in it. Its got 2 JL 8's in a sealed box pushed by a 300w Infinity amp. I don't even think I need that much. I just need some low end fill. But I like the sharp reproduction of the JL's in a sealed box. I'm thinking sealed 8 or sealed 10.

BUT I CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND!

I think I'd like to stick w/ JL's just because I'm familiar with them and for what we paid for the two with the box, it wasn't a bad deal. I want something I can mount to the floor of the trunk right behind the amp. So I would like the back to be on a less than 90-Degree angle so I can snuggle it to the amp (Which is mounted to the back seat). and yes. I said snuggle.

I've got a single output with 150w@4-Ohm or 300w@2-Ohm.

I'm running 2 12"Duals and an Icon 1100 watt amp that I got for free since someone traded in their 07 Mustang at work and left their system in it... my buddy told me the box they were in was called something, but I can't remember what he says it was called... but its like each sub is in its own sealed box with both of them in one big ported box, also the subs light up blue... it sounds great for what it is.

also I recently upgraded the speakers front and rear. 6"infinity references in the doors and pioneer 6x9's in three back.

I have one Fosgate P3 12" with an old sony 1000 watt amp. It's in a ported box and its tuned but I don't recall what too. Sounds good for one 12.

I have four Sony XS-GSW121D subs powered by a JL JX 1000/1D amp. Two subs sit in single ported boxes, and two other subs sit in a dual box with single port. Amp reaches about 1,525 watts. I have yet to upgrade any door or dash speakers because the music I listen to is all about the explosions of bass.
