I have a dilemma. I put an LED light bar on the front and fell in love. Now I want one on roof. I like the way my spotties look but I really like the light output of LED bars. Please post pics of your roof mounted bar and what size

ordered a rigid 20" light bar mount and modified the piss out of it. mounted it under the base of the roof rack rails by the windshield

here is the link for it:

i had to first cut it in half, then i had to lengthen the slots in it so i can spread it out far enough to squeeze the light bar in it. Then had to keep tweaking with it alot to get the holes to line up with the bar since the mount was not designed for a curved bar. Only reason i went this far with it vs finding a way to mount a 40" bar was because i was given this one for free.

if i had to do it over, or was buying one initially, i would have gotten a 40" bar and made some mount for it

Gotcha. Looks great. Seems like a pain. I'm probably just going to get a 40. Although I would like to find a bracket to mount it right over the windshield

Don't have my 40" roof bar yet cuz I need to get a bunch of other big project finished up first.
All Aurora lights in the bumper and they're bright.

Got the replacement for the broke 24" (free from seller) but they sent me a 32" instead of the 24". Still looks decent in my opinion. Going to put a 40 on the roof next week then I'll be done with lights. ( especially on bumper. Any more mind changes it will look like Swiss cheese with all the wholes. ) I would rather have bigger tires anyways

Im on the market for one of these. I want to go the cheap route an replace Drb's old B&M I still have on my roof rack. Anyone have any good links to places they have found them on the cheaper end? The guy I share a house with just put 2 small ones on his F350 an its insane how bright they are in person.

Just got my X a few weeks ago. Wanted a light bar for S's and G's as well as some light duty night time excursions, grabbed an el cheapo 42" curved china light and told myself I'd make it work. and make it work I did.

Got my 42" finally installed. I think it may sit too high, and work at making new brackets to lower it just above the windshield, see if it helps, or puts it in a better position to resole the hood glare

I had it powder coated in a lovely Textured black. Now i'm in the process of wiring it up. While i'm wiring it up, i'm wiring up my alley lights, rock lights, reverse lights, and bumper lights (pictures to come). The Fuse panel and relays are on the ceiling. That way its easy to access and stays clean and dry and minimizes the lengths of wires to each item since it is centralized. I will be fabricating the headliner to accommodate the fuse/relay panel and Otrattw switches. While doing that I am making it look like it was originally there from the factory!

So Ive been working on the Alley lights. Just working on getting them mounted and that. Wiring will be next and then paint. Ive used hollow wall anchors to secure the lights to. Drilled the holes, then used the dremel to cut a slot on each side of the hole for the tab to go into so they don't spin when tightening. They are great and incredibly strong. Then stainless steel Socket head cap screws to secure them.Snapchat-662144608-1599x3099.jpg 20170611_193124-1599x1199.jpg 20170611_193121-1599x1199.jpg 20170611_193115-1599x2132.jpg 20170611_201145-1599x2132.jpg 20170611_201148-1599x2132.jpg

Yeah Prime!! Someone gave me the idea! How did you secure them? I was gonna ask but then thought I could do it this way and they work very well.

I just ran a self tapping sheet metal screw into the rail and then removed it, and replaced it with a stainless sheet metal screw.
