Can someone please add the video of me skinny pedaling out of the clay pit from rainy Saturday? Please?

I've watched that one several times. I love seeing "never give up" driving. Nice job. I'll try to get that clip added in and finish up a video sometime this week.

I am upset that I never turned on my go pro coming back down the mountain behind you saks. That was the most impressive feat of driving I have ever seen. The mud pit was absolute determination, but coming down some of those hills was either repeated luck, or a true show of skill.

Agreed it was one big slide of surprisingly controlled chaos. Just pure bliss.

SAKS knows what he's doing. No question.

It's all skill. SAKS was stock and kept up with me at nXm 1.

SAKS, It was extremely fun riding with you on the night run.

I finally got around to putting a video together. I didn't get much in the way of pictures or videos this year so most of this is courtesy of Chuck.

While digging through files and trying to find a plug-in that would get my editing software to work with Chuck's video format I found some video from nXm 1 that I never did anything with. I'll be doing something with that as well as the White Knuckle Rock Challenge from this year. I'll let you know when it's posted.

Random question. I have been watching all the videos over the last few days and coming down trail 16 all the second gens were literally riding their sliders down that rock with the front wheels completely off the ground for a few inches. My truck dropped off the rock and still looked to have somewhere around an inch or maybe a little more of clearance. I dont have any measurements or anything, but bucksnorts truck looked to have noticeably more clearance than me when I parked next to him at one point at nxm so it had me a little confused. Does the extra 2 inches of wheelbase on the second gen really make that much of a difference, or do the first gens actually have more clearance.

Both.

The body of a gen2 is much deeper than a gen1.

I think (not positive) that a gen2 has more ground clearance at the front diff, but, yes, if you have the same size tires, the gen1 will sit taller. (Think of it like this, gen1 with 33's is 3-4" of lift total, gen2 with 33's = no lift at all

SAKS was also on some fairly mild AT tires that day. As slick as that mud was the fact he didn't get pulled through it really shows the right mix of capability of the driver and vehicle.

I have to admit, when he was backed in there and it didn't even start to move forward I thought it was all over but the strap.

Thanks guys. I guess it is just my mentality that these trucks were made for this. Also I have no fear, as far as whatever breaks, it can be upgraded/replaced/fixed. I guess I'm just looking for an excuse to talk my wife into bigger, better mods. I did have to go back to my 275x65x16 AT's since my MT 33x12.5x15's were shot. I have been happy with those Corsair's though. Every year something is upgraded.
@BuffaloFunk so far all I've done is a PML, sliders and full skids. Hard trails or nothing for me.
