Well, all the cool states are doing it...what XNers are from/in New Mexico? Post up about your rigs, trips, wheeling spots and what have you, right here!

I'll get it started...wheeling at Cedro Peak in April, in preparation for MOAB - it's a fun, if small, ORVA east of Albuquerque. Easy for the most part, gets interesting/hairy in the mud or snow.

And now a question: Anyone have any experience wheeling in the Jemez Mountains? Share with the group please! I've fished throught them a ton, but never really devoted any time to wheeling. i hear tell there's some interesting stuff up there...

I'm gonna throw in my lot with this group too. NM is my home state and I still claim it. I make trips back multiple times a year to visit family. Sometime I'll be meeting family to do some camping in Pecos.

I think Labbie is a New Mexican. There aren't a whole lot of forum going Xers in NM though. I've watched for them over time and haven't seen many. It's really a bummer.

There are two second gens with Shrock bumpers in the parking lot outside the building I work in. I could use a couple of those XN.com stickers... I'll bet that I see a dozen or so driving around each day, so they're out there.

Two not including you, right Rok? You count too...

When I roll through Eastern NM I watch for Xs and rarely see any. It's kinda sad.

There was a guy on CX with a first gen in Roswell but I think he may have sold it because he quit getting on at all.

Yeah, Xs are few and far between in the eastern parts, but here in Albuquerque and north (Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, etc.) they are everywhere...

How's y'alls build coming along?

Slow but sure... but as you know, that's how I roll.

I wrapped up most of the under hood resto a few weeks ago; replaced all of the gaskets, seals, and coolant hoses with OE replacements after having the heads milled and valves reseated. It started up on the first try and hasn't thrown a code after driving it to work every day for the past few weeks. All I have left to replace under the hood is the radiator and I went with the OE supercharged 3.3L one... Courtesy Nissan tells me that I should have it in my hands next week.

It looks pretty happy sitting there waiting for the real work to begin:

Now that I can move the X in and out of the shop under it's own power, I've been busy knocking out other projects that have been on the back burner while the X took up valuable shop space. I have applied primer and a base coat of chassis undercoating to my SLR steering kit and UCA's along with a full set of Shrock skids. I think that I'm going to work on my electrical system upgrade this weekend and install my OBA compressor so I can move on to the lockers in the next couple of weeks.

How's Terra coming along?

Nice!
Lockers are on the back burner for me right now, and Terra has been patiently waiting for her headers to become available. Other than that, I haven't done much lately other than little stuff as work has been consuming my time and this time of year I spend most of my weekends traveling to watch the son play college soccer. The plan is install headers and new exhaust as soon as I get the headers, and then save up some cash for a rear locker sometime after the new year. Also been thinking about a custom ladder...

I'll agree. Id love to have stickers to sneak to people. There're alot of X's in El Paso/Las Cruces/Alamogordo. I found this site by accident when i was looking for help on my overheating issue. I hadn't heard of this group before that. I posted the ol' skool website and Monticello run in the hopes that some of y'all make it and we can spread the word. Maybe get a link on their site? I dunno.
