So I don't know how many of you have seen the metal corners I made up for my X but I am playing with the idea of making them up and selling them. If I do this I will be up front in saying I am a one man shop and have some combat injuries so I some VA appts to go to. But I would keep those in loop who want them and only take a few orders at a time. Just so I don't get too back logged.
And right now I only have 2nd Gen plans since I only have a 2nd Gen.

Here's a couple.

That's pretty nice looking.

Any details on weight, how they're braced, etc?

:)

They weight about 50lbs a piece. And they are mounted with bolt in the front end of the wheel well, a couple of mounting tabs underneath the X and two in back under the hatch

There's def a market for em if the price is right. I would only offer in bare steel to help yourself out and not have to say "its at the powder coater" lol.

hahaha!

I second GPD, there is a market for sure. I know 1 company backed out of making them and the other guys are behind on getting theirs out.

I would only offer them bare steel. Reduces cost, and time. Which makes everyone happy.
I've been tossing this idea around for awhile and seeing the others behind that's what got me moving forward on this.

Would they be that close to the body or would there be a slight gap? Just thinking of it bouncing or something into the body. Also, what about a step? Would you be making some with or without? Just curious :)

I could do them either way. Close to the body or a little gap. And I can work a step and can/bottle holder.
They would be more customizable since as of right now these would be the only thing I be making.

The ones on my X (in pics) are finished ones. If anyone wants a set or is interested in them and wants more info please pm me. As of right now I don't have a website or anything it would all be through forum, emails, and phone.
So each one for now would be one of a kind.
