I'm geting ready to do the wireing for my lights and other accessories but I'm stumped on where to mount my switches. On my 4runner I bent a plate that mounted under the radio but I am in salinger a 7 inch touch screen radio with a backup cam and gps so that is out. I'm going with rockers in this build rather than the toggle switches I have always used but this also means that I have to find rocker switches with a safty lock so that I don't accedently tour some things on like when I get around to a rear locker (turning that on wih out meaning to is why I had covered switches). Let's see where you all mounted your switches.

I had a interesting idea today, I remembered a while back seeing a arduino powered light controller for a jeep and thought to my self what if I programed a android based interface that could be run on my android based stereo I am installing. I picked the stereo becaus I could link it to my bluetooth obd2 scanner so linking one more cars system to it would just make sense.

Very nice did you relocate the cruse switch and security light?

01 auto trans cruse is on the steering wheel so I deleted the security light the other spot was a blank.

I wish I had the little space on the 00

I think I am going to go with a single din that has a fold out screen and then I'll make a plate that goes in the lower slot to fit 6 switches in then I'll remove the alarm light and put 1 switch there

Ordered my new radio today now I just need a single din delete plate to mount switches in. I'm going to put all but the reverce light override switch under the radio so far I need switches for (roof spot, right and left ally lights, compressor and eventually a switch for main power to the winch and locker switch) that is 6 switches under the radio.

Right now I am thinking of just using some bulk switches from amozon right now untell I get ones with labels. I need ones labeled left, right, rear, spot and compressor. The one for the compressor and both switches for the future winch and someday a rear locker switch will go in the pocket in the lower part of the dash in front of the 4x4 lever.

Just call up OTRATTW and let them know what you want. They can make it.

I'm going to paint it black to fit in with the dash a bit better and then I'll install it when my new stereo finally gets in and run the wires for the switches to the engine bay where the relay bord will be mounted

I like that panel. Thanks for the link!
I had been looking for something like this for quite a while but I finally came across that on a 4runner forum. A local powder coater said that he can toss it in with his next batch of black so it will match my dash.
