Ideal way to wire CB coax into truck

So I got a Wilson little wil and currently have the coax coming straight down from the roof in through the hatch and into the front of the X. I'm worried water will come in through this location. I was thinking about brining the coax down the side of the rear passenger door along the weather strip and then in through the plastic part on the bottom of the door way. Any ideas or recommendations?

Pull a tail light. Bring the wire down and make a very small (like ¼") incision in the rubber surrounding the tail light wires. Cut the tip off of your antenna coax and shove it through the hole. If you make the hole small enough the rubber will self seal around the wire. I've done many a truck like this and have never had an issue. All you have to do is put an new PL259 connector on the wire once it's up to the radio.
