I won a synthetic winch line at our Off Road Club Xmas party. I really want it, but will gift it to other members that have done me well over the past year in helping me out with the Jeep. Some other friends traded a gift they won for a ratchet tool set and then gave it to me. I have some pretty excellent friends!

Went wheeling today to Tiddie Springs (from Murphy, ID toward Silver City, ID). There was some snow and quite a bit of mud. A few sphincter clenching moments for me since my tires were lacking in traction. Eventually, I was not able to make it up a hill and had to back down (sliding the whole way, ugh). I checked my psi repeatedly with my gauge and it kept telling me 12psi. So I borrowed someone else's and lo and behold, I was at 42psi!!! OMFG! ARGH! That would explain a lot. So I let a crapton of air out and the rest of the trip was so much better. Now I must add a quality tire gauge to my Xmas/birthday list.

Here is the route on everytrail.com: http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=3060200

Thanks!

I had a minor soul searching moment yesterday while wheeling. As a single never married person, I enjoy being single. But man, sometimes I wish I had some sort of S.O. to be with me when I wheel. There's just something...completing? fulfilling? for me when I wheel. I try to wheel as often as I can because it gives me that feeling of completion/wholeness that I think many people in relationships feel with their S.O. Besides, I need an official photographer to capture all the scenic sh!t I see when I wheel. I tried to take pics with my phone and videos, but they ended up mostly rubbish. The best ones were the ones I edited and posted above.

Here's a crap video I tried to take:

I certainly feel ya! It sucks wheeling by yourself. I wish I could really share my wheeling/outdoor moments with someone else

After my birthday fiasco, I immediately got to fixing my defunct fender with the help of my awesome Jeep friends.

Before photo- you can see I have the undercarriage held up by handy dandy zip ties, haha

Drilled some holes and put a piece of metal on the underside of the dent/hole to better support it:

We used these clips to hold up the fender in the allotted holes along the body of the Jeep:

Voila, all installed! (minus the rigid underside piece that I broke in half. We just removed it altogether and held the blinker light in with zip ties)

These are the views I saw on my way to my friend's house in the Boise foothills. These photos are taken at Lucky Peak Reservoir State Park.

Lately I have been getting into rucking as a way to have more fun with my exercise routines on my days off from work. I tend to go out to the local off road park that is about a 5min drive from my house. I am thankful for the Jeep, as the route is horrendously muddy. I am of the "Tread Lightly" variety, and usually park at the entrance and hike the rest of the way in so as to not make the trails more rutted and yucky.

As I said- horrendously wet trail:

My rucking buddy, Panda. She gets a pack of her own, too:

We get a lot of frozen fog out here. In the parking garage at work, I noticed all the build up of ice on the Jeep and thought it looked kind of cool:

I've been out of commission for the past few weeks. I play roller derby and had a good fall. My teammate felt bad about causing the fall and baked me a cake. I find this so amusing that I just had to share it, hahaha:

Here's her blog about being a roller girl: http://skatingwithlegorgon.wordpress.com/2015/01/24/25-things-ive-learned-from-roller-derby/. I think it is excellently written.

Still at the shop. Front axle seized. Ring and pinion froze. Cant move front tires forward at all. Fingers crossed when the diff is opened it's not catastrophic damage in there.
