Anyone ever have a problem with google chrome not allowing sound to come from it? i can stream stuff but then i have no sound. can't find a setting for it either. any help appreciated.

Open your volume mixer by right clicking on the volume icon in the system tray and make sure Chrome hasn't been muted for some reason. If you're getting sound out of other apps/programs, but not from Chrome, that may be the problem. Also, Chrome may not show up in the mixer unless it is open and you are actively streaming something.

ya i did that already, it opens up in the mixer but doesn't show any audio coming out of chrome. and it's not muted.

Hmmm, OK, easy possibility is out of the way. Let me play around a bit with Chrome here and see what I can find.

Type in chrome : plugins (no spaces) in the address bar, click the plus sign for details in the top right, and individually disable each plugin and see if you get your sound back. Particularly if you have pepflashplayer.dll

glad I'm not alone...if I drag and restart the video sound comes through!

i fixed it. one of the flash plugins has to be disabled. then it will work.

Was it that pepflashplayer.dll plugin?
