If you leave them stock they will avg 16-18MPG pretty easy..

Most want to start lifting which doesn't hurt them too bad.. Tires are the real MPG killer.. Stock tires weight about 35lbs per.. you add 33" tires then it starts killing the MPGs.. Most start about 50lbs per

You can add a Bully dog to tune it.. That will help some

I've gotten 18-19 MPG out of my stock 2012 S. That's about 13 L/100km but you can get 20-21MPG (11L/100km) out of them if you're really light footed. Mine is 4x4 so that does have some effect.

I'm avg 18.9mpg weekly with a 4 day commute (of 73miles one way) and goofing around with kids. My morning drive was set at 70mph on the nose and now with a later start time I'm running into stopngo dropping it to 18.4mpg. Going home is even later so no slowdowns except to drop off my partner at the carpool meet up spot. Bay Area traffic just plain is awful.

My 2wd got up to 25mpg on the highway, as long as kept the RPMs under 2000 (About 55-56 mph). But my 4wd is heavier, has bigger tires and lower gears, so the most I get out of it is about 21mpg (again, under 2000 RPMs, which, with the lower gearing, is about 52-53 mph). Around town I average about 16mpg, a little lower if keep my foot in it more often (hey, it happens; if I was worried about mileage I wouldn't be driving a 4500 lb SUV). All told, the mileage isn't bad for a vehicle this size that was designed over 10 years ago. Although I do wish we'd see a new generation with a direct gas injection engine or the turbo diesel from the new Frontier.
