Long story short, I am trying to get better at airbrushing. I was trying to think of a way to further my skills and provide a service at the same time. Unfortunately/fortunately, I will be moving across country in about a month so this isn't something I could do until after I got settled. I MAY be able to complete a small handful before I move, but I also work 6 days a week.

Anyway, I am curious how many people would like parts airbrushed on their X's? Specifically, gas tank doors, air dams, console pieces... Easily removable parts that would be able to be shipped for cheap and wouldn't leave your X immovable or uncomfortable to drive while it was off. I could easily complete a painting in 1-3 days, depending on how complicated you wanted it to be. The longest part SHOULD be shipping (few days here and back).

I am by no means a pro but I want to get better so I would definitely not charge very much at all (especially to fellow X owners and members of X forums). I think the cost of shipping here and back plus a little for supplies I could live with.... This really would be a service to me as well.

So, is there any interest?

If there is some immediate work wanted, I am pretty flexible. Even though I work I still have a bit of time to play... er' train lol. I would even say that, if it would be cheaper, I could try and locate parts here at local junk yards... But I live in the VERY far north so "foreign" cars aren't as plentiful.

You can't tell but this is about the color of a yellow highlighter.

One I'm working on now. Wants it "weathered". Going to have travel stamps painted over a lot of this.

Thank you. I really have only been doing it, off/on, for about 8 months. I have run out of things to paint. That's why I figured I would ask around to see if anyone wanted anything small'ish done for cheap. I love doing it, kinda zen. But I need practice. Once I move, I will be able to have a better setup than I have now, which will let me do larger pieces. Plus, I live so far away from the rest of the world that shipping and population are a hurdle. Once I move to DFW though... I may have my hands full. lol

Ok FINALLY moved into our house and settling down. I haven't completely unpacked but my paint booth is set up and almost ready to go.

So, is anyone interested in getting anything airbrushed?

This would be free of charge, except for shipping. I'll send my address via email or phone/text (whatever is easier for you)

I just need to know what part you want painted and what you want painted on it so I can stock up on paint/clear/supplies. If you have pictures/examples of what you want, that would be great. Or, just give me an idea and let me surprise you.

I figure the first 10-15 people that contact me I can handle. (i can't imagine there are even going to be that many people even interested)

I would suggest smaller parts that you either have a replacement for laying around or you can live without for a week or so.

Can I paint ON a round object or can I actually paint a 3D object so it looks like a cylinder? (i suppose the answer is yes to both but I'm curious what you have in mind)

I have a fake silencer (round tube) for my .22lr. I would like a tan snakeskin type pattern on it.

Ahh. I don't see why not. Can you post a pic of the pattern/colors you would want? Just because it's snakeskin doesn't mean it can't be pink and purple with green flake. lol

That shouldn't be a problem at all. I was actually thinking about painting one of mine a similar pattern but with black/white/grey.
