Driveshaft carrier bearing

Got a friend out near Philly who has a drivetrain vibration on his 2006 X, family mechanic says there's a possibility of it being the carrier bearing. I don't have any experience with this part (or the Gen 2 for that matter); anyone have any ideas?

First guess without taking into account the mechanics opinion would be as following.

1: U-Jount
2: Out of balance driveshaft
3: Bearing in carrier or transfer case, if this is the case the seal should be out too and oil should show the mark. I had a rear transfer case seal go and they replaced the bearing to. Just a bad bearing.

Mine went out after windrock in January on my 03. Cost me about 450 to get it replaced.
