Saw this on another forum and I know we'll have some fun with this:

"Sh!t is going down, son. You must choose 5 weapons in the following categories to defend yourself with. It is Marshall Law. Every man for himself. End of world, doomsday sh!t. What are your 5 weapons in the following categories?

  1. Handgun
  2. Firearm (any gun)
  3. Knife (has to be a knife)
  4. Melee (any melee weapon)
  5. Wildcard (any weapon ex: grenade, another gun, chainsaw)

For example, mine would be:

  1. Ruger LC9
  2. Mossberg 500
  3. Kukri
  4. Gerber axe
  5. Recurve bow
My choices were based on items that I own and that I'm already familiar with, so it was sort of easy for me ;)

And begin!

Hmmm, for me, it would depend on what actually happened, and how mobile I was expecting to be. If I was planning on defending a strong hold, I might be going for a sniper rifle, gatling gun-type solution/stand-off weapons. If I had to be on the run, and had to carry the ammo for the damn things too, etc....I'd be going lighter by a huge margin.

A blow gun with poison for darts for example, nunchucks, garottes, some C4, you know, that kind of thing.

If I might be hunting game, depending on WHAT game, then some other solutions might be supplemented, and so forth.

If part of a pack/gang, etc...you can have perimeter people armed for instant response, and inner people carrying stuff that takes more time to deploy.

:D

Oh, and a wheel barrow and holocaust cloak....in case I have to storm a castle

Glock 19; the most common handgun, parts would be fairly easy to find in an apocalypse.

My AR; I'd want to drop the barrel size to an 11 inch to make it more compact, and I know ammo and all would he heavy, but I love mine so much.

E tool. Basically a shovel but can also be used as a weapon. Made famous by our own military, green berets especially.

Well by now, I'd be carrying too much crap on me, so I'm going to say my XTERRA.

I will take this up one more step.

1. FNP 45 (with some mods)

Why? I would rather not be heard when the hammer hits.

2. Accuracy International AX Chassis Remington 700 AAC 308win
ai_ax_remington_700_aac_1.jpg

Why? I don't care if I have to carry this thing everywhere, when I set up shop somewhere, I want to know where you are long before you know where I am.

3. Just give me a Kabar.
