Dog/K9 Barrier for Xterra

We are working on a new line of dog barriers and it wouldn't be right to launch on anything else first other than the Xterra. It's made just like all our products (crazy overbuilt!) #216 psi mesh, coated rings and mount hardware etc. The upper points can install as shown for a flush to back of seat mount or use the OEM hooks a little further back. The biggest change from our net barrier is of course, much improved visibility and a higher and tighter to side fit to deter the dogs from drooling on the kids heads in back. :)

As always, open to thoughts, and feedback here.

From owning your other style net, my dogs can sneak through the sides to get up front to us. If this will be tighter to the sides and cover the opening area more completely, I'll buy one tonight.

It is wider than the standard net by about 6" Here's a little better image:

We are working on some optional wings to fill in the window area from the second row strap to the top for the escape artist breeds. (at least remind them to stay in back where ya put 'em!)

I really like the visibility difference as well. With what you showed in the extra 6", I don't think my dogs could get through it but I do own a 1st gen so I don't know exactly how different my cargo area width is.

It's at the window right where the lower and upper pieces meet. (like the upper half barrier we make) It's not for strength here, just a block off strap. Top and strap to the seat catch and floor do all the tensioning.

My birthday is in 2 weeks...Seems like a good excuse.

Question about the net - How would it hold up if a dog were to put its paws up on it? I've got a year old labradoodle who is a ball of energy and I know he'll at some point try and come to the front.

Lol, very nice. This is made with 216# military grade mesh, not the junk you see on everything else that snags. VERY DURABLE materials as we always choose.

Where do the middle straps go to? My dog is huge so this will work as it is. I just don't know what to do with those two straps.

They are for optional blocking off at the sides. You should have some hardware to install to straight out to the side. They are just an extra deterrent mounting to the C-pillar or just cut them off. Thanks for sharing!
