It didnt hurt nearly as bad as biting ur own inside of your mouth. Because the tattoo is so quick the pain doesnt really register. I was eating pizza 30 minutes later. However they do say that each persona acid content in their spit is different so that means that some peoples inner mouth tattoos dont last a lifetime because of it. They say that of it lasts longer than 3 months then you should be good to go. Ive had mine for over a year now.

I have the tops of both feet, both rib cages, both hip bones, both calves, tramp stamp, tail bone, inner wrists, back of my neck, outer side of both heels, inside of my lower lip and now my shoulder. .. and to be honest all were pretty tolerable in my opinion. My feet sucked the day after bc the night I got them done I went out to the bar and my feet swelled.

depends on your pain tolerance really, I can't think of a single guy or gal I know that has ink that crosses the front of the shin....if the artist is good and isn't working too deep you might be ok, if they're working too deep....think shin splints, except worse...the only person I've ever seen get work done in that area asked to be held down by all of the available staff because he wanted it finished but he couldn't hold still himself. the artist would go through and do everything except the actual crossings across the bone and then go in and do a line across then work somewhere else, then go across another spot, and tried his hardest to be as accommodating as possible, but, in the end, he had a lot of lines that crossed and needed shading....

I had a friend who got a band done around his calf and it looks sweet, but he said it was very painful, happy he did it. I have one on my foot and like doodle said.. The only reason it really hurt was that night. Granted mine was because I slept on it weird (sleep on my stomach, feet turned down) and that hurt in the morning. Past that? If you can handle ribs, you can handle shin. According to my friend.

I need to get some more ink. I've been putting off on starting my sleeves for too long. I only have one arm planned out, my left, that's going to build off a tattoo I have on my left forearm. Skulls, ravens, dark ominous stuff like that all in black with very little red.

That looks really good man.

Thanks guys, Mac, if you need any ink, I'd almost say it's worth it to arrange it so you can go see this dude when you're up for something. He tried to charge me less than any of the other shops quoted me for a silhouette half this size, and he did great detail and shading too!

Tats aren't for everyone. Whether it be pain, religious reasons, or just plain chicken siht. You can place me in two of those groups, then add in another two.

We can still enjoy the art, even if we do not wish to be the canvas.

Well said. I like my removable decals on the Xterra, that's my canvas.
