Nice I have the same tank and was actually thinking of mounting it there. Glad to see it works there. Are you going to put some sort of skid plate over it to protect it?

I really haven't decided yet.. It'd have to be about a perfect hit to smack the tank buttt I like being safe. I'm gonna show it to my buddy who runs the fab shop and see what he thinks.

I was thinking of pushing mine forward a bit and installing a skid plate with a hole drilled through to drain the tank when needed

I always over build becaus if I font I will brake it eventually. My plan is a skid plate the will tie in to my bumper and be angled up over the rear diff a bit.

Where are you mounting the compressor? I am thinking of doing mine in the pasanger side rear quarter panel and running the regulator out the same area. How deep is that pocket there?

I'm thinking about just sitting it in right in between the wheel well and my storage box. I'd like to mount it a little more permanently/securely but I think that'll work fine.

If it would fit, you could mount it off the side of the cargo area directly behind the wheel hump. its a great out of the way spot and you can coil your hose and stuff right there and stick it behind.

Is there anyway it would fit in that void under the speaker that way it is compleat out of the way and is protected a bit from the things that get tossed in the back. You could even run a line from the intake valve up to under the seat for a filter that is easily accessible.

Can you mount it to the top of the wheel well? Behind the plastic? That where I plan to mount mine but I don't remember if there's enough room in the 1st gen.

Basically where your zipties are sitting. I have my ARB twin mounted there. I can find a picture if you want.

Yeahh I gotcha. That's a strong possibility.

I'm pretty sure it won't. There's just not enough room in there, I believe.

That's another good possibility. Behind the plastic completely? I don't know if it would fit there either. I could maybe sit it on top of the wheel well and trim some plastic to give more room in the cargo area.

Yeah. Take the interior panel off of the passenger side, there's a hole that goes up over the top of the wheel well. You should be able to bolt it down through the wheel well and then use some silicone to seal up the holes.

Awesome. I'll check that out for sure.

That sounds about perfect

Pretty good progress today. I have all of the plumbing done, with the exception of the hard line that will go to the pressure switch because I didn't have the right fitting. I have my quick connect mounted to the driver side P&P rear corner piece. I have over half of the wiring done including the main power wire I have routed to my Blue Sea. I still need to get power for my switch which I'll probably run along the same route and tap into a different circuit.

All that's left is to finish up the wiring and secure and protect the wires running the length of the X. And then just mounting the gauge and buttoning everything up.

I checked out that hole to mount the compressor to the wheel well but it wasn't big enough for the compressor to fit in and it would be pretty hard to get in there and mount it up. So, for now anyway, I'm going to just sit the compressor against the passenger wheel and the back of the rear seats. And my storage box is going to sit right beside it on the other side. Depending on how I like it, this may just be temporary. I'm thinking about maybe mounting the compressor inside on top of the wheel well with some sort of plate maybe. We'll see.

Nice. Can't wait to see it finished.

OBA is on! I now have a functioning air system. The only problem was a tiny pinhole leak in the air hose going to my quick connect on the bumper. Other than fixing that and wrapping my power wire going to the Blue Sea is it 100% done. Super happy with it!

OBA is 100% done. Luckily the pinhole leak was right on the barb. So I just cut the hose right past the end of the barb, added a 45 degree to keep the hose out of a bind and tightened everything up. Also, last night I ran wire loom from front to back and zip tied everything up. She's good to good!
