So I have either a CV axle down or some a bearing shot on my passenger side. And to top it off.. A worn ball joint on my driver side soo... Maintenance is superseding mods for a little bit :weep:

Four hours and some cussing later... We're half way done.

After disassembling everything.. We figured out it wasn't the bearings making the comotion so it had to be the axle.

After tearing apart everything we needed to get the CV out.. We went to go grab the new one, opened the box.. They sent the wrong axle. Right part number on the box, but the wrong axle inside.

Auto Zone in town has the right one (hopefully) and we'll be able to slap that thing in there and wrap it all up tomorrow.. We'll see.. Things always happen haha

After another failed attempt to send the right one in.. We finally got the right one and it's in!

Tomorrow is assembling all the hub components and then we should be back on the road!

Had the same issue almost. Advanced auto gave my CV to someone else and theirs to me. Got home and pulled it out of the box, it was shorter. Had to play the waiting game again for them to fix it all. I know your pain.

I try to look at the parts before leaving the store...as its a common issue.

Its akin to "Measure Twice, Cut Once"

:D

If you bring the old part, or at least look at it before getting the new one, you have a better chance of recognizing the error if they give you one that looks differently.

The one's that are maddening are where it looks the same but the threads are a different pitch, etc...the kind of thing you will not notice until you are cursing under the rig.

I agree with you man but it was a weird deal.

I was actually getting from the Carquest my cousin owns. He has a big garage out back with a bunch of tools and whatnot. And he didn't have the part in stock, so we had to order it. The first two times we ordered the part we opened it as soon as it came in the door haha they finnaly got it right the third time ;)

"THIS LINK" is a compilation of some of my favorite nXm pictures. Some from me but a majority from you guys! Most of them are shameless selfies ;)

But for real, if you take a look through them and see some of yours, it's greatly appreciated! :bmmd:

** Let me know if the link is working.. it's my first time using Dropbox haha

Well she's back up and running I do believe. Hopefully it's all good now!

However, it does seen to pull to the left even more now.. Maybe it's because I got used to driving another vehicle that doesn't pull. It shouldn't have messed up anything with the alignment.. I think it's all good. Just happy to have her back!

Haha well I was glad to take them!

And yes I did! He was a super nice guy. I told him I as well as other were greatly appreciative of their contributions to the meet. He said he was "proud" to sponsor the event and plan to be apart of it next year as well.

I think a second gen guy on here did a sweet tiger stripe pattern on his skids with yellow and black. You should do Giraffe print on it, AzHiAzIaM had it on his truck.
