Hm, I'll look at the UBR, but, my primary motivation is to be able to tune my rifle to ME, so my wife can't screw with it and have it out of whack when I need to shoot....hence the want for a non-adjustable length stock.

Makes sense. The UBR does have a system that allows you to make it so that when you pull the stock out from fully collapsed, it stops at the adjustment length you pre-set. So it could be shorter but all you have to do is pull out to the pre-set spot and its correct length. No count how many holes you move the stock out or anything.

Bushmaster makes a 7.62 barrel to interchange with their 5.56 barreled model.
I have two.
I wanted NATO rounds so after they are dispatched, I can take their ammo :)

That's the problem, she shortens it, and pops my cheek riser off...

Um...for 7.62 you'd have to have a totally different lower, unless it's 7.62x39mm....the bullet is way too long for a standard ar15 lower

What's the pricing on the 6.8 ammo?
Everybody says its outrageous, but I've never looked myself.
I find the caliber intriguing myself, and the fact it fits a standard lower.

I recently ordered some federal 90gr Gold dots for $20 a box of $20. Some stuff is $18 (Hornady vmax) and other stuff is around $30. Ill be reloading so it will be a lot cheaper once I get rolling. I did a lot of reading before jumping on it but I'm very impressed with the ballistics of it and may replace my .204 ruger with this as my go to coyote weapon.
