What board games have you been playing? I played ticket to ride for the first time tonight and it was surprisingly fun. Another game I have played that was also fun was wits and wagers.

Oh crap...

We bought Dead of Winter recently and that is a nerve wrecker. You goal is to survive a zombie apocalypse. Also recently got Lords of Waterdeep. Fun, but would be better with more players. We'll frequently pull out Fluxx or Sushi Go when we're out to eat and waiting. Betrayal at The House on Haunted Hill is an absolute blast, whether you're the traitor or not. Elder Sign is another great one that's fun with more players. For the kids, we have Catan Jr, and MK2 is almost old enough to start enjoying that.

Another game we play is Far Scape it's a fun game but long. I will have to check out Dead of Winter it sounds like it is fun.

I have never heard someone say they liked ticket to ride. I thought it was the worst. No offence. Im a huge risk fan myself.

No offense taken; it was a fun game to play with the kids. My wife is wanting to get some of the expansions for it. I have never played risk it just did not appeal to me.

Played dead of winter for the first time tonight though we did not fully understand the game play. I'm currently watching videos explaing how to play it better. It was fun but once we fully understand the game it will be much better.

Picked up Time Stories for the Mrs. earlier this month. You play as a group of time travelers trying to keep another agency from changing the past. The story that comes with the base game has you going to 1920s France, in an insane asylum. We've played through it twice, and still haven't solved the puzzle. The game even EXPECTS you to fail your first time, which is kinda cool.
There are several expansions for it, running about $20-$30 each.

Pandemic Legacy 1 & 2. Im sure you've heard of it. The top reviews all read:

"Its a good game, but is it fun?"

Pandemic is a cooperative game where you and your cohorts are attempting to prevent 4 diseases from defacing the planet by curing them month by month for a full year. The game progresses and changes every month with an ever changing game board with hefty consequences, including the literal destruction of game pieces (don't get attached to your cards).

Its a game of strategy and luck of the draw. The game will flat out tell you if you're doing too good (it will tell you that you cheated).

9/10 recommend if you have friends that are into stressful problem solving board games.
