This week, it's been Laughing Skull from a local Atlanta brewery.... nicely drinkable Amber Ale. Oh, and a little bit more of the Abita Double Dog - but trying to pace myself there....

Anybody have a dedicated beer fridge?

Haha! Between the 3 fridges in our house 2 are dedicated for beer! (and ice in the freezer for when we have more beer and need a cooler)

But as far as what we have
Nati (my roomate thinks he's back to 21)
Bud Light
Whatever the seasonal leinenkugel's is - which is currently both the Classic Amber and Fireside Nut Brown

I do. Full size frige. Only has bevs in it. Currently has corona, Bud Lite, Fat Tire, Amstel, all other New Belgian brews, various Sam Adams, Coors Lite (for the cheap visitors) and others that I simply cannot remember.
Also have an entire closet dedicated to liquor and a wine cooler for all the wines. Yep, I live with people that love their alcohol.

I only just noticed you're up in WA. Has Baker opened? I drove up there just to cruise around while visiting in early November, and it looked like they were going to be able to open early... just wondering if they did.

If you DO go up there (you board, right??) and you haven't eaten at the Chair 9 pizza joint (last restaurant before you head up to the mountain) - we had lunch there, and they rocked. Great pizza, and good beer selection.

Funny, some beer-aficionado friends and ourselves were just talking about how great a bunch of the CO beers are.... have you ever had Gordon's? The high-gravity stuff that comes in a can? Good stuff!!

You're on the edge of the PNW, Mel - it's somewhat of a requirement there to love your alcohol!!!

I know huge no no. But what the Germans do at the fests when they are gonna have to drive soon and get too messed up is make a Radlermass. Its a 50/50 mix of a Pilsner and Sprite, tastes good as hell and you can still drive after a few mas of it.

& Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale

I also have sharp cheddar cheese.

Now that is MY kind of man! MMMMMMMMMM

Currently the mini fridge is stocked with my dad's Miller Lite, and one bottle of my Shock Top, before I found out about my allergy to beer [mainly the wheat and barley] I drank my share of Blue Moon and Bud Light.

Depends on the time of year. I'm with Rattfink, in the summer hefeweizen is the go-to brew. Longboard Ale a close second. Right now, Sierra Nevada Pale, Dale's Pale; Marble (local) Red and IPA; Original Coors (sometimes you just need a nice cold banquet beer); Newcastle; Guiness. In truth, tho, Makers' Mark gets the most winter love...

my garage fridge is my beer fridge :D

THIS! Its great having a dedicated device of drunken bliss....

Currently, Yuengling (nectar of the gobbles) is the only BEER in there

But, I do have:

The Kraken (Black Spiced Rum)
Makers Mark (My personal choice of Bourbon)
Pinnacle Gummy Vodka (not sure why)
Bakon Vodka (mmmm.....bacon)
Jager (always on hand)
Naked Jay Whipped Vodka (makes a killer White Russian)
Kahlua (Speaking of White Russians)

As well as Coke Classic and Segrams Gingerale for mixers (I don't drink soda unless it has booze in it)

Being freshly 21 I have started experimenting. Guinness is the only beer that I keep going back to. It has always been a favorite of mine, mostly due to my dad drinking the stuff. I drink it like a fish.

CURRENT FRIDGE STOCK
Sierra Nevada:
Pale Ale (overall good lighter beer)
Tumbler (bad aftertaste imo, seems too bitter)
Stout (good but not guinness good)

Sam Adams:
Cream stout (really not crazy about it but overall not bad)

Shiner:
mostly for my buddies, all of them seem to like it.

Anyone have any recommendations for me to try that are similar to Guinness?

just make sure that when you say it, you say 'SMIT-ICKS'

it's good stuff. I love the spring when all of the local breweries put out their Irish ales.

Smithwicks is pretty damn good. Dare I say I like it better than Guinness?
Also, if you like the creamy head that Guinness is famous for, try Boddington's. One of my very favorites. Great with seafood.

Liquor store... I laugh every time I see or hear that. We don't have those in South Louisiana. We get our booze at the grocery store because it's part of our regular food run! Seriously, a couple of our grocers have bigger and better selections than most liquor stores I've been in. Hell, we have drive thru daiquiri shops here.
