ankle concealed

I want to buy a pistol that I could conceal on my ankle that would also fit with my boot. There seems to be a lot of space around my ankle with my boot on already but I'd like to hear from all of you very knowledgeable people.

Keltec P38t is pretty small and still holds a few rounds.

I wish I could help. My lack of a small enough firearm and largeness of belly make cankle carry impractical.

I'm in the market for the Keltec PF9 for a pocket gun. The P3AT is a little bit smaller. Probably better for a ankle. The PF9 is really hard to find right now. Keltec has a bad rep with some people but as long as you take care of them, they are great. Check out this forum for some great info on any Keltec.

Any specific reason for ankle carry....or is this a back up pistol to your primary carry?

This will be my primary. I don't want to try and conceal a large gun on myself. I want to be able to wear it without anyone ever knowing it's there. I'm not a huge guy so I can't pull off oversized clothes very well.

That Taurus Slim I posted is my dad's everyday carry. He carries that Slim IWB (inside waist band) and you'd never know it. He's 5'11, 185lbs, 34" waist.

Also, I can put my full sized M&P in a good conceal holster and you'd never know I had it, and you know how skinny I am.

I just went to a gun store and now know that those 380s feel way to small in my hands. I found a couple of guns I liked though. (without shooting) The KAHR .40 felt good in my hand and was single stack. I held that Nano also and liked it except my pinkie hung off the end.

Kahr have a great reputation. That would be my choice over the PF9. I might just get it if I can't find a PF9.

The guy said they were American made, same manufacturer as Thompson, so I already like the gun based on that. I did like the feel of the slightly larger Ruger in my hand though, it was definitely my dads favorite.

Personally I carry a 605 Poly Protector .357 as my second backup on the ankle.

1 is NONE
2 is ONE
3 is Best

i would look at a glock 26/27 depending on your caliber preference. At this point in time, I would go for .40 because I can't find 9mm anywhere. My CCW instructor carries a 26 on his ankle with boots and you couldn't tell. I'd love to try it sometime but my G19 is probably too big haha.

Polar opposite here. All we have here, last time my buddies and I went, were 9mm and .22.

dang, I can't find it ANYWHERE here, and it's been very annoying because I couldn't afford to stockpile it. So I haven't been able to go get any practice of recent because of the inability to find ammo.

ME TOO! I found some steel cased stuff online... $15 for box of 50. Which to me is ridiculous, because I bought quality brass ammo for $8.99 a box not long before this all happened.

Great company and a life time warranty. I had a crack in my holster, I sent it back and they sent me a new one!

I've been checking there almost daily, and decided to check tonight. They had just set out the pallets of stuff for stocking shelves and saw a case of this 9mm. Russian stuff, but it was all they got. So I bought the case of 1000. The conversation went like this. Me- "I'll take the whole case" Clerk- "There are 20 boxes in here...." Me- "Yeah, I want one thousand rounds..."
