2005-2012 Hidden track X model

So I was kind of bummed out when I seen what all the base "X" model does not have on the inside.
The rear track in the back would have been pretty sweet to have.. Oh well...

Oh well till PaulKucz told me of this hidden treat

Stock X no track...

Pop off the plastic to reveal the tracks hidden right there....

Pretty sneaky Nissan...

No really this makes sense in the production.. Why spend extra time to build a separate cargo area..
Just hide it

Jeep used to do this same thing with gas tanks.. The dealer would upgrade you to a larger tank for a price...
Only to find out the funnel was made longer from the factor.. If you wanted the optional larger tank.. The dealer would cut the funnel
exposing 3 more gallons to fill..

Wow talk about dumb, if its there just list it as a feature, that's one of the reason I wanted an x in the first place. I Probably would have gone with a frontier if I would have had to search for "secret" features.

I don't understand why Nissan would engineer and produce the plastic cover for them. It doesn't sound like a cost savings....

I could see them selling the "covers" as an add on to the soccer moms that will never actually use the track.

Its called a vacuum. In reality I never new about this. Now I feel like my pro-4x is less special.

This is common.. Jeep used to offer larger gas tanks on the YJ/TJ as a dealer upgrade. All the dealer would do is pull the filler hose but it 2 inches and you went from a 16 or 18 gallon tank to a 20 I think..
