Possibly. There are different sized ones in case it doesn't fit. The Gobi may not be 2 inches, now that I think about it. Seems kind of big. Maybe just 1.

• Snorkel (not plumbed yet)
• Rooftop Tent

Speaking of... anyone know of a place that makes aluminum sliders for the 04?

Very nice, I dig the lights on the sunshade.

I second Prime about the aluminum sliders though. I read a few reviews on them and the general consensus is that they dent and scratch A LOT easier than steel.

Looking good man!

I don't know if aluminum sliders are a good idea. They just wouldn't hold up.

Good call. Contacted Kyle from P&P, and it was quite expensive. I assumed hat companies would have it on hand. I just wanted something lightweight.

Also... Pulled a P0420 Code (Cat system below threshold of Bank 1). Went ahead and cleared it; wanted to get it done asap.

Any guidance? Looking on Club X and around other places, people mentioned cleaning ground wires, replacing all new Cat system, O2 Sensor?

Kinda stumped on this.

Replacing the sensor probably won't fix the issue. An 0420 means the sensor is sensing the exhaust hasn't been 'cleaned' properly by the cat. If you've had several misfire or rich conditions on Bank 1 (passenger), then replacing the sensor _might_ work. Running a ground from the body to the exhaust is a good step to make sure the signals from the sensor are good, especially sense the signals coming from the sensor are very low level. The proper fix is replacing the cat but the cheap fix is putting a CEL inline with the sensor.

Thanks. I think that'd be a good route.

I may clean the CATS this weekend. I recently learned that if a CAT is 5% below of its threshold, it will spark the CEL. That's nothing, considering 95% of the CAT is in working order.

Hey guys I'm back!

Learned quite a lot of new things, and am eager to learn more. Automotive mechanics is not my forte, but is something both intimidating and exciting.

I recently applied to become a volunteer at Overland Expo East in September, and got accepted! I'll be helping with general duties, as well as Audio/Video.

With that being said, my wife and I recently took a trip to the Outer Banks and camped out on the beach for five days -- we had a blast. I have some photos I'd like to share. Should've taken rust consideration into account, but I've done the best I can. I have more but a lot of the files are too big. If you'd want more photos, let me know and I can work it out!;

Lastly, I entered my vehicle to be featured in the "Cool Ride Contest" at Overland Expo. I really want people to know that Xterras are still alive and kicking, and that you don't have to spend a fortune to make a capable off roader. If you could, please take them time to give me a vote.

Here's the link. Let me know you voted, and I'll reward you with the slickest high five known to man.
