hi to all, I'm new here, I have a 2000 xterra vg33, and I have a problem with my transmission

last night we had a heavy rain where I live, and I was driving back home and when I finally made it, I noticed that my revs went high at idle they where around 2500rpms, and I turned it off, and turned on again, revs went high for a few seconds and went down to normal range below 1000, today I went to my work and everything felt normal, but 10hrs later when I got off work 2gear didn't want to engage until I rev it up to 3.8k, and 3 gear engage until I hit 4.5k rpms, my engine service soon light came up, I took it to an autozone so they scan it, looking for a code and knock sensor came up, I was expecting something else related to transmission sensors, solenoids or something more related to transmission, I didn't worry about knock sensor because It has showed before, and I just reset the ecm, and disappears.

also noticed when I turn in the engine the O/D light on the dashboard blinks like 16 times

has some body had this kind a issue before?, any help will be appreciated thanks

The flashing Overdrive light is indicative of a transmission problem. Unfortunately, the codes in the transmission computer don't pass to the OBD, so autozone can't check them. You need to run by a dealer and have them hook up to a Consult and read the codes from the transmission.

you're right autozone scanner just read knock sensor, but that is not a surprise knock sensor always shows up, at the end TPS sensor was the problem, I took it to an automatic transmission workshop, they told me that was a problem with TPS circuit, now is running ok.
