that face you and 10 other fuel tanker drivers make when Shell runs out of gasoline at their terminal.

no but really that was some bullshiat. so lemme give you of info on how these places work. at night between 11pm to midnight all the major terminal besides Marathon shut down for tank leveling and sampling. i got to the shell terminal just after 11 and just chilled there while other trucks started to come in. once midnight struck, a couple trucks and myself started to make our way under the rack to get loaded. ground the trailer, hook up vapor recovery, hook up the arms to the load head on the bottom of the trailer, then as im a bout to walk to my lane's dog house to enter my info on the load computer, another driver asks if im having issues with allocation. i tell him that im just about to card in and that I'll let him know what my computer says. sure enough right after i enter my pin code and trailer ID a message pops up saying that there will be no 87 until 0300. now the one jet fuel guy is loading his truck just fine but the 3 of gas guys are "wtf?". its after midnight and the jet guy is able to load whats going on? i ask if they saw a message similar to mine and they say yes. then we try to get a hold of the onsite operator but the ufcking phone line was cut since the office under construction. next we let the 7 or so other gas trucks behind us know what is going on. next i call my dispatch and let them know what is going on. they didnt believe me at first then i said well you can go head and call the hotline but shell is out of gas! what really really sucked is that this is suppose to be the load that takes me back near where i park the truck and end my shift so dispatch was really having a whale of a time trying to find a load that wasnt coming out of shell. they did find one but it wasnt a normal home load, it just happened to be between where i was and where my truck gets parked.
