Howdy, my name is Grayson.

I have a 2015 Xtrerra X named Burnice.

I'm looking to join a new community and get some more trail time in NorCal and surrounding areas. I'm not a complete Novice to wheeling the Xterra but still have much to learn. I've participated in goneMoab 2017 running blues and greens, and just got done with an awesome road trip up to the North Slope of Alaska.

My car mods include
Hefty Alum. Skids, Shrock Sliders, MaxGear Bumper
HAM Radio, CB Radio, CSF Radiator 7029
BFG KO2 33", neat oem fog lights

Some cool things I can bring on the trail
HiJack Lift, Mobile HAM, Jerry Cans,
33" Spare, Garmin inReach, cool doggo
Honda eu2000i

One of my current goals is to get some trail time in the Tahoe National Forest. Last year I started around Bowman Lake and worked my way out and found some great camping spots. It's mostly forest roads out there, chill driving with occasional fun. After running goneMoab and this AK trip I'm not too psyched on running solo anymore, so I'm looking for people who are interested in exploring pretty much any national forest above Yosemite.

so hey whats shakin'

Hey, I think I know you. Since you mentioned getting time in the Tahoe National Forest, you should register for Winter Fun Fest. It is based in Grass Valley, but the wheeling takes place in the mountains in January.

Welcome! I was following your adventures in AK. Seems like it was (or could have been) the trip of a lifetime. Please enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I did not know about Winter Fun Fest, and grass valley is super close ( I forgot to say I'm from Sacramento)

The Alaska trip was worthwhile. My dad joined me for the first two weeks, and the wildlife and landscape was what I was really interested in seeing, so that wasn't a disappointment. Super bummed that stuff got personal between Chris and I, but oh well.

But that Garmin inReach, SUPER valuable in helping people stay in touch. I'll be glad to bring it on future runs.
