Wanted to see if this was true for everyone. Photobucket now wants to charge for "3rd party hosting" like posting photos from their site on here. But not just $10 or something, the price I found was $400 per year?!?!

This just seems ridiculous especially since their site has gotten really crappy and slow over the years.

Is there a better site/method out there for posting pictures on here? And is there an easy way to fix all the pictures on my build thread from photo bucket?

This site can host your pictures. You can upload them directly to your post. There is a 5mb limit per attachment.

Otherwise, download them from photobucket, upload to Imgur and change your URLs.

In fact, I did one with Imgur the other day. Photobucket left the links live. If you open up an edit on your post you'll be able to click on the broken pictures. So you click on their bullshiat image, it'll take you to your image in a new tab and then you can download it, upload to Imgur, and copy the URL into the post editor. It's actually not that bad.

Yes, it's real.
Imgur.com
No. Gotta rehost them

Wonderful.. that'll be time consuming

What Jeff said. To be fair, I've been telling people to stop using photobucket for the past 10 years. It's one of the worst host sites out there.

Should've switched host sites a while ago, I always thought it was pretty bad

That doesn't sound so bad, just time consuming since I had a lot of pics. Might try hosting from this site, then I (hopefully) won't have to go through this again.

Long ago, there was no imgur, tinypic, or "good" forum hosting. It was ImageShack or Photobucket. ImageShack deleted images often and Photobucket was actually okay. Then they found out that servers werent cheap and needed money. So they started using ads and tried to stay relevant by adding image modifications that killed the site.
