A/C Condenser or missing condenser fan?

Summer's coming up, in Vegas u need a great running A/C. Last year I notice that with the A/C on at idle my X would start to over heat. Once I started moving, the temp would go down. This is only with the A/C on. With A/c off the car ran great.

So last summer I changed out all the A/C lines cause it had a leak but noticed the problem above. On top of that the Xterra didn't seem cold enough, then again it gets like 112 to 118 up here.

I could not visually find any leaks on the condenser and the A/c doesn't blow extremely cold. Another thing I notice was a missing bolt where I pretty sure the condenser fan use to be. So should I opt for a condenser fan or condenser its self. I know some models didn't come with a condenser fan. My X is a 2002 SE 4x4

Check your coolant level. You mentioned the temp goes down when you start moving; try revving the engine to 1500-2000 while stopped to see if that lowers the temp. If it doesn't, then it's probably the fan clutch. If the truck get too hot the AC will shut down to keep from overworking the engine.
