OK. So. First subohm experience.

The tank came with a .15 coil and to half ohm coils. I hated the 0.15 ohm coil. Anything over 30w and it just tasted like burning. So I swapped it for one of the half ohm. I can run it at 60w all day and it's epic. I'm very happy with this purchase. Dem clouds tho.

It'll run maxed out at 75w but it starts to get a little hot and burned after a second of hit. Even at 60 the mouthpiece gets hot after about 4 seconds.

I'm considering playing with this mini RBA that it came with. But I don't know of if it's worth the trouble.

Yaaaaas! I knew it would happen. So I'll guess that the .15ohm was a single coil with maybe 3-4 wraps. 60w was def too high on it. When I run 60w it's because I'm running at least 2 coils with 5 or 6 wraps on each so it needs the higher wattage to heat both coils simultaneously.

Right now I'm running a .5ohm dual coil (each coil is 1ohm @ 12 wraps on a 2.5mm jig and 26awg kanthal) and I'm sitting down around 30w only and getting good flavor and clouds. One thing if you want to build or even tinker with it jay, is that you'll end up playing a bunch. I like to build various coils seeing how I like them overall. But once I get a setup I like I stick with it for weeks, only changing the cotton out when the taste is dulling.

It's been what, a month since I started running this setup and I've dialed it back to 50W and changed out one coil. I see no need to tinker with anything anymore. Change the coil out every three weeks and carry on.

No no I mean you'll start sitting there going...hm...I wonder what it would be like to use X wraps...or X awg...or what about running clapton coils? Or twisted? etc etc. It's like truck mods...you start...you never stop.

I'm back to this. I still have no idea on how to get started. Someone recommend me a starter kit that's not crazy expensive.

Copy that. So if that's the case then it really comes down to finding a flavor you enjoy and sticking too it. Or even changing flavors all the time, but sticking to it. I have found the perfect match of a menthol for camel menthol silver at a local shop and it has been the only juice I have Vaped in 3 years. I occasionally sweeten it with a dropper of Gush (gushers fruit snack flavor).if you enjoy the flavor then even attempting to smoke a cigarette the taste of it will completely be off putting.

Also, you can research decent Vape shops in your area (I can ask around for NJ if needed) any good Vape shop will be highly informative and helpful.

There's a lot of experimentation to be done for sure.

But you need a decent rig to get started.
https://www.misthub.com/products/kanger-topbox-mini-75w-starter-kit

This is what I'm still using. And it's very user friendly and produces enough clouds to satisfy. But you can start low and work your way up.

The only thing you need over this is batteries, a charger, and juice.

You can then replace attys as necessary. They're like $10 for a 5 pack.

Also, what's up, Doodles?!
Haha sup killer! I'm using a MinikinV2 ($80) and a supertank mini ($25)myself. (don't mind the funky filter on the photo) I get two days out of a charge on the batteries (separate cost but still only $10) and I charge them outside of the mod. The charger ran me like $20 on Amazon. What I love about this tank is that it's inexpensive and the coils last, provide a nice vapor and the flavor is amazing. I have had some of the more expensive tanks and coils constantly burned out, and they were expensive to replace. The replacement coils for the supertank mini are $15 for 5 coils. I've been on the same coil for almost 2 months now.

Not a bad looking setup for an integrated battery. Let me see if I have any of my stuff leftover like that. If I haven't trashed it, I'll gladly send it to you.

This is what I was looking at. Seems to get good reviews. I'll have to research more. Thanks for the info

Not a bad mod, my only fear is that the max wattage is super low. I would recommend something that is at least 75 wattage for the high end personally.

Theres the Mega that's 80w. I think this may be the route.

Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
I think in the long run, you may be happier with that. Because you can still start low to begin but if you want to swap out for a different tank, the 80 watt would allow you to do that without having to purchase a new mod.

You'll find very quickly that replaceable batteries are the way to go. I have two really good 18650 batteries that I alternate between. And a desktop charger. That way I'm never without a charged rig.

Agreed. I have two sets of batteries, always charged. Annnnnd Vape safety 101 if carrying spare batteries, get a case for them (I could send you a case or two I have extras). Carrying spare batteries loosely in a pocket or purse means they are hitting other objects and can cause them to explode. And unless you want hot pants I'd advise against going case-less.

I picked up a baby beast to have a 2nd tank. I'm not impressed. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Running the same 70/30 juice as in the Kanger. Q2 .4ohm coil. Anything over 40 watts is way too harsh for me. 40&under provides next to no cloud.

Any thoughts?

I tired 1.5 in the Q2. Still terrible. Maybe I didn't prime right and burned the coil up. Swapped in the T8 that came with it. Running at 65w. 1000x better.
