You really don't pay attention, do you? Heh. I'm replacing center stack with an 09+ like you have and replacing all the LEDs in the speedo and climate control with white. Because of the orange tint and the way the 05-08 climate controls are built you can't change the illumination at all.

Ah got it. I knew you were switching but didn't put two and two together. I was thinking that would still be an issue. Never mind. Proceed. Lol

Finished swapping LEDs in the climate controls last night. Decided that the knobs can stay orange. I can't get down in there to the LEDs and I tried to much failure to desolder the knobs themselves. So meh.

I also ordered another soldering iron. I tried removing LEDs on my practice cluster and broke a lot of circuit pads. Turns out unless you can heat both sides of the LED at the same time, it really hard to get them off.

Lastly, the Scosche dash kit that I bought doesn't fit my android radio.

Which is especially annoying as it says it fits full 7" double DIN unit it's. Liars. Oh well amazon return and order the Metra kit that is supposed to be better.

Also, LED problems. I replaced the IPDM because it couldn't keep a fuse in the front marker light position. So that's fixed. Now my front turn signals don't work. Pull the bulbs. And this:

The bases completely melted on the turn signal circuit. Not sure why but I blame the old IPDM. Problem is, these were off of the old truck. So they're also old and no longer under warranty.

Nice! Where'd you score them bad boys?

Score nothing! They are roadwire replacement leather seat covers. I basically have an upholstery shop in my living room right now. I'm stripping the old cloth covers from the seats and installing replacement leather. It's a royal pain in the ass. And I've only started on the rears. The fronts look like they're going to be a nightmare.

Oh ok. They look awesome though! Why go that route over some nice quality seat covers? Curious aren't in the best shape

Because. I wanted a nice OE look.

I did the seat cover thing. And it was okay. But with kids, and mud, and abuse, the leather will just hold up better. Plus, I'm adding heated seats to the front.

When I'm done it'll look like the truck came with leather from the factory.
