Need to see if it's suspension related or rotational. Jack up one corner at a time and spin the wheel. Make sure that your front driveline isn't spinning.

It sounds rotational as I turn the wheel. Not sure if its my brake lines rubbing or my CVs spinning and going out. I also have worn to hell bushings so some of the clunking is front that at least going over bumps and such. Replacing the shocks and UCAs next weekend when I do my lift. I will regrease everything and replace the ball joints and such too. Hopefully that eliminates some of the strange noises.

On another note. Im Pre-Registered for Gone2016.

Trails
Mon- TOTW
Tues- Metal Masher/ Fins Night run
Wens- Strike Ravine
Thurs- Seven Mile Rim
Fri-Hells Revenge

Depending on how things work out, I might head down a few days early and stay with some family friends at their summer home there until folks arrive for the event. We shall see

These will be going on this weekend most likely. 5160s in the rear and 5100s up front... what a great way to spend $650

Well Im pretty sick and didnt make it down to Colorado to go wheeling this weekend. I did manage to get the new Bilstein 5160s installed in the rear and went to flex them out some. So far Im quite happy with the ride, and they provide a little more articulation than the 5125s did.

Well today I tackled the front 5100s. They went on pretty easy and uneventful. Did possibly find my source of strange rotational noise on the passenger front. Seems as though the wheel bearing is either going out, or isnt adjusted properly. Gonna order manual hubs and pull everything apart and check when I install those. I also removed the front bar, the bushings were shot so it effectively was useless.

Went up to the rock pit on the ranch and checked to see if I gained any travel up front. It feels like I did but who knows.

Thanks guys!

I think I have narrowed my strange noises down even further to the passenger front wheel bearings. I am going to replace both sides as well as install manual hubs to aleiviate some stress on my CVs. All this should be going down this next week as I had to order the parts in.

Also in the works is a set of DT long tube headers and full exhaust. Not sure what diameter would be best. Im kinda leaning towards a full catless 2.5" setup with my thrush muffler. Any input would be awesome

I have 2.5" piping with my magnaflow and it sounds great, thats the size I'd go with for sure.

Today after work I decided to check my front passenger wheel bearings. I pulled everything off, and found that the adjustment ring was quite backed off. I tightened it 3 full turns and everything was back tight and spinning as needed.

I still have not received a tracking number from Calmini for my UCAs which is now 3.5 weeks since I placed my order.
I have Warn hubs ordered from NISSTEC and hopefully expecting a tracking number for those this week.
Scored BRAND NEW DT headers with O2 elbows for $380 shipped, expecting those at my door friday.
Gorilla Offroad is backordered on my set of LUX rock lighting needed for the night fins run Gone2016.

Other than the things listed, I did find that my centerlink is fairly worn out and I will proababky need one in the coming future.

Ok, so small update on the Calmini UCAs, I called for the 4th time today. I talked to the same gentlemen that had helped me when I called earlier this week. His response was "the warehouse guys are on lunch, but I will go light a fire under their ass and you WILL have these shipped today" shortly after I received a tracking number. So my UCAs should be here next week.

The Manual hubs shipped from nisstec and im expecting those probably tuesday or wensday. The Lux rock lights I ordered from Offroad Gorilla are still back ordered however I did received an email this morning stating that they are expecting them to be back in stock this coming week. +1 for Offroad Gorilla and their awesome service.

Big news is, I received my Doug Thorley headers today. Im quite excited to get them in, however I really dont want to do the work. I will scheduel a day for the local exhaust shop to install and run new 2.5" piping.

Im impatient and tired of exhaust leaks. Judge me!

Decided to go ahead and install the headers this weekend. Took all saturday to get the driver side installed, and all sunday for the passenger side. Took for an 11mile test drive and everything sounds really good, no problems, im quite happy.

Hopefully I can get the manual hubs on this weekend, not sure when I will get the UCAs on, but I would like to wait until I pick up new LCA bushings, LBJ, T-bars, and do everything in a single go

That's the way to do it. Hell, I'd even wait to do the hubs since you gave to take all that stuff apart in order to do the arms.

Yeah, im lucky this late in the year, we havent had snow at all. This time last year we were 2 months into snow and it was negative temps. Just lets me work in the driveway. I CAN use a shop, but I dont usually have alot of time after work to pull my truck in. Not a huge deal to me either way, as long as its done by April

Well Poo.... wheel bearing that I adjusted feels like it did before I adjusted it. I guess Im going to have to have to replace it. Wasnt planning on having to do it.

On another note, Dixie1865 wheeled with me in Moab at GONE this past may, but just got around to going through his pictures an found a few from the trip.

I'm not joking. Buy an OE bearing from the dealership. I replaced my fronts two years ago w/ Timken bearings. And now the front of my truck sounds like a freight train.

I won't be making that mistake again.

Minor updates-

I let my manager mess with the wheel bearing, not entirely sure what he did, but it hasn't squeaked, clunked, or vibrated for a few days now. The truck seems fine.

Also I received an email about my LUX rock lights, they are shipping either today or tomorrow and I should have them this next week. And then I will have to get them installed when I have free time.

We had a small snow storm come in today, about 3" as of right now, but currently clear skies. I didnt hesitate to go and snap a picture and test the Lokka out.

Well I got started with the install of the rock lights. I ran the main harness and switch on my lunch today, and then did the 2 front lights after I got home from work. maybe 45-1hour worth of time total. Hopefully if weather holds out I will be able to get the rears install tomorrow night. I also am thinking about picking up 2 more in either White or Blue to mount center of my chassis, mainly to add more light in those areas.

Well I havent really done a whole lot lately. Alot going on in my life, however I did order a few things today including an ARB compact compressor, snatch strap, and cam bolts so I can maybe finally get my UCAs installed. Also trying to find someone headed to GoneMOAB 2016 from the tacoma area. I have a line on a new Insain rear bumper but shipping is outrageous.

If you do end up coming to Grand Junction I have a calming winch bumper taking space in my workshop that I bet my wife would let go of cheap. We bought it for her 03 but then that rig ended up going to our daughter before we installed it.
